Talos the Automaton
A refugee from the major islands, she disembarked from her galleon and set foot on the sand. This was one of the few places where the navy nor pirates bother since it was on the edge of the world–far from their treasures or goals. It was here where she will settle and live peacefully for the rest of her life. Little be known to her, a mysterious figure had seen her ship docked and was watching her.
It was only nine years after where Talos heard a knock at the door. No one knew he or his mother lived here. The pirates his mother warned him about have not even passed the island before. Before Talos could even move towards the door, a hand clasped around his mouth–his mother, an unrecognizable expression on her face, pushed him into the closet and sealed it. Confused, he tried opening the doors but failed. Yet eventually those doors opened again to the face of a metal man.
Details
Talos is the captain of the navy and an expert in combat. While he possesses the ability of fire and is adept in its power, he restrains himself from using it.
Talos’ left arm is stitched with a magical and metallic embussed thread. These stitches provide his arm extraordinary resistance to weapons and magic. Yet, at times Talos can be witnessed in pain and grabbing his metal arm. Anyone that asked about this is waved off and dismissed.
In current times, Talos is leading a mission against pirates seen raiding the islands at the borders. Once dealt with, he and his crew are to return as quickly as possible to defend the capital as tensions among major islands are rising.

- Talos’ father is (was) Hephaestus
- The description of the metal face is a nod towards the metal curse
- Hephaestus killed the mother and took Talos
- Hephaestus, in his inventive nature, stitched the magic metal threads in Talos’ left arm
- The original plan called to stitched every part of Talos’ body
- The plan backfired when Talos’ fire magic tried to release from his left hand but was bounced backed
- This friction and tension caused an outward explosion that blew back both of them
- Waking up, Talos discovered Hephaestus was gone and the thread was unfinished while burning as well
- Talos was picked up by a navy ship, joined it, and rose through the ranks
- He will lose his mission against the pirates and be held prisoner by them
- Maybe in a few months or years, he will join them as a nod to the original myth
- Talos may meet Medea who will lead him towards his death, or Trigno in a battle
