One of the ghosts in the abyss of charon mentions the “accursed teal light”, which is the same wording used by Captain Rackham, but was he not describing the apocalypse bringer curse? If so, then what relation does that have to the rituals under makrinaos? This might be a different energy (there’s a room with blue glow later in the abyss), but it is still confusing because of the similar wording
Also given the seekers of sight have teal text, some theories are forming in my head about nero caeser (thats what hes called right) being part of it (given he was the one who caused the “accursed teal light” at akursius)
(btw im exploring right now because infection wore off when i went into the blue room and didnt come back when i left so i am not restricted by time)
However, the “energy” the ghosts keep yapping about seems like a different phenomenon from magic/curses

Apocalypse Bringer is basically just another name for raw Chaos as a magic. Same colors, same destructive effect.

Captain Rackham and Akursius keep takes place after Nero had already destroyed the Winterveil capital. The sequence of events is like this:
- Nero nukes winterveil with apocalypse bringer
- Akursius Keep is built as a Ravennan fort over the destroyed kingdom, with Rackham stationed there
- Chaos nukes Akursius
