This topic isn’t related to AO in the slightest, but I felt in the need to share it. This post is entirely dedicated to @Sykadelik , the main author.

Forumcraft (lite). Originally an alternative option to the og Forumcraft in a discord server, no mods, no weird things. Just a raw minecraft smp led by you, Jane, Sykadelik. It started off small, occassionally open and hosted in aternos; But it quickly grew larger, until it became its own thing. And it’s been wonderful.

From bases, to farms, to the nether itself to even a full wedding. With vows and everything.

Hell, we even managed to defeat the dragon and get OP (somehow)

To this day, I’m not sure how we did it.

Forumcraft was a nice respite from my daily life. I never really stuck to a server like I did with this one, and it was a wonderful experience. I laughed, I cried, I got shot by Syka, but ultimately, I had fun. Lots. It’s wonderful to see a group of people work together like this, even just to mine netherite.

It’s a shame it had to end, as all good things do. But I knew I couldn’t sit and say goodbye without at least doing one last thing. I don’t have much money or time, and my minecraft building skills are decent; but what I do have is a knack for art.

A skin in minecraft might not mean a lot to most people, but I know Jane cares for it deeply. She made it herself.

So in return I did this for her. A little piece of her skin.

I don’t have many to play together with. I loved the little opportunities forumcraft gave me to do it. And even though I wasn’t a part of this particular forumcraft server, I was a part of many before, even Unlucky’s. Hope to join in the next time!

Also, who wants some nostalgia? I still keep screenshots of our first? server, the one hosted in Old Darkane by Unlucky. If no one minds, I can drop them here. They’re mostly things made by me and ItsNotMe, since I was a fish and couldn’t leave water, thus the vicinity of my base, for long

My base, obviously flooded.

My farms, and the outside of my base, built in place of my turtle farm. These water canals were the literal first thing that was made on this beach. Very helpful!

The underground waterways, purely decorative, since they were made during the very last days of the server, when I had Respiration 3 turtle shell, therefore not needing the canals anymore.

Sniffers and chorus. I like sniffers’ design, and their flowers are nice, thats why they’re everywhere, but the mob is a bit lackluster.

The Pit. Don’t know why we left this here, but I guess it was useful as a quick access to caves?..

My forest that I was growing for wood and shelter from the sun (my neighbour was a phantom, he burned during the day, and I didn’t want him to die).

My veggies farm and the Deepslate Castle. Don’t ask about the statue.

My iron farm (working) and my kelp farm (not working). Idk why didn’t it work, but whatever. I don’t have any clear pictures of the Castle itself, wasn’t my main goal after all.

Oh my gosh where do I even begin.

A few weeks back Mimi hit me with a DM simply saying “Jane can I draw you?” and I agreed and we’ve been ironing out the details ever since, and Mimi’s been hyping it up a lot, and it was completely worth the wait!

What I DIDN’T know was that she’d go quite this far in her reveal of it, and that just makes it all the more heartwarming to me.

Honestly this message is a lot shorter than I’d like it to be, because I do not know how to express my gratitude in words, so I apologise for that. But that said, Mimi, you might not have been on much, but your presence was a staple in the three most major events the server had, and this tribute is far more than I could ever have asked for.

Thank you so much for playing, and thank you about a hundred times more for this.

I have been cursed by the deepslate gods, each server I join I mine more and more.

It was already 62k mined deepslate, I fear what will happen to me in august

Old forumcraft had bit easier way due to fee QoL mods but it still took ages to mine it all up, it was bit silly and I had to sell my soul just to get more materials but next time I swear on AO’s last good update that I will finish that castle
