My unfounded crackpot headcanon is that this chamber was once used in ages long past for the purpose of ritually burning Aurem. Suited with a stone brazier for that Golden Age of Magic wizard grindset.

Mount Olympus is in the War Seas. And even if it wasn’t, it was a thousand years before the world was ruined by Durza. Many people knew, and still know of the existence of the gods and titans.
