This lore… IS DOGSHIT!
i swear you are JUST here to shit on the game
@Meta can you split this thread please (the derailment goes crazy)glorious king meta went offline as soon as I sent this , I guess I’ll apologise for the notification and instead flag this whole argument
snitch
it’s not even lore
It’s just
“mages get spoonfed by chaos and don’t have to actually do anything really to get stronger”
“whereas berserkers must starve despite being capable of literally the same things that mages can do”
also, let’s add another factor, does this mean that a warlock is superior to both mages and berserkers because warlocks are basically just aura users x2?
I mean kinda? aura is magic lite basically (edited this part to have a better quote if anybody saw that)
it goes: no magic energy use → aura (trace amounts of magic energy) → actual magic (full use of magic energy)
notice how they need to absorb magic energy from a stronger source to empower themselves
I never disputed that, aura does use magic energy just not to the same extent as magic
well a magic blast is a basic spell for magic users while axe slash is a rare technique
Vetex says they’re apparently equal to mages
They can still reach like top 25-15 and at that point they either don’t really need to get stronger or can just get a spirit weapon or a maybe even curse. Not many people can stop them at that point.
We still have great examples of people who don’t use magic, like freedrock and polemos that one shot a beefed up version of the kraken
So if the only difference is the amount of magic energy used, then is there anything stopping aura users from just drawing in the same amount of magic used in a magic blast?
“apparently equal”
well I doubt that since warlocks also have access to all the strength abilities as well so that’s just an inherent advantage
and then there’s conjurer which is an EVEN BIGGER can of worms I don’t wanna go into
what about paladins? spirit is also sort of equal to magic so does paladin just solo the entire AU?
I’m ngl this seems so pointless and redundant
at that point why doesn’t aura just become magic like where is the actual difference
both builds have done training so why does one build just mysteriously get stronger aura and the other gets “weaker” aura
yea and literally every mage on the planet needs chaos to empower themselves what’s your point
yea and they accomplish the same thing + zerkers have access to a skill mages can’t use at all so checkmate
Freedrock is an outlier, as per any curse users (He’s still cooler than cursebeard though)
But Polemos 100% counts
yea that’s still annoying though
there’s this arbitrary barrier that’s not allowing zerkers (and to some extent warriors but not really since arcanium weapons) to join mages to become something like top 10 strongest.
of course, curses triumphing all is fine, I don’t care about that, but shouldn’t all the 4 main stats be equal with eachother? there’s absolutely no reason not to make it this way.
curse user sadly
if we ranked polemos how strong is he anyway
No clue, barely anything was said about Kraken
who tf is polemos
wasn’t he the cannonfist user of AA?
… unless vetex prepared a special surprise for us and there’s strength/weapon user who is not just in Top 10 but in Top 5 (hopefuly)
that was romulus
technically no, they’d probably just have to work a bit harder to get to that point
you were probably just using this as an example but the amount of magic used in a magic blast isn’t a set value. a berserker can absolutely get to a point of aura usage where they’re stronger than MOST magic users and can obliterate their magic blasts with an aura-infused punch, it’s just more difficult for them to do so
