that would be a pretty big feature to miss
make it like temu where it just says the bare minimum
titanium armor as opposed to titanium armor with blue sash, level 100, frozen, strong enchant
you still need to store all that data, even if the data isn’t being shown
that’s why i think AT LEAST IN THE BEGINNING only clean items should be able to be put up for auction
yeah and i have no idea why you couldn’t do that with roblox’s memorystores
cant wait for the cheapest to be the most fucking absurd shit ever with 0 minimum price being embed into every item due to their rarity
Capitalism in AO ![]()
Super late response here, but funnily enough Starscape actually does have some unique items and variation.
Ancient Beacons basically function like treasure maps , with each beacon having it’s own chart that corresponds to specific star systems and warp lanes in the galaxy. This unique map for every beacon persists even after the item is traded, and you can sell them on the cross-server player market.

Of course, this isn’t anywhere near as complicated as AO. You don’t have individual color variations for different beacons, you don’t have different ‘levels’ of beacons, and you don’t have specific enchantments or prefixes on beacons.
An AO auctionhouse has a LOT of variables to account for!
1 grapeshot 1 million galleons
Right, but the issue is the sorting and filtering on all the variations.
what is going on with the vulnerabilities
A missed server-side check. Vetex just needs to push the next hotfix probably tomorrow and then the marketplace can be turned back on and most likely not be messed with again.
Hopefully
dang i really wish i could use the new spell “vetex please fix your dogshit security love bitwinder” ultimate art, would really give me an edge over those pesky pvpheads ![]()
Just buytheos platinum shovel
too expensive. my wallet will condense into a black hole if i try fitting an extra galleon in there
why would that be an issue?

i wouldve loved to use the hover spell scroll…
The sheer number of different possible weapons now that skill customization has been added is staggering, so I assume that’s related to what he’s referring to
Oh, true. You have to determine which variants of an item get prioritized over others, and implement the systems that let people filter for the specific item variant they want…
Yeah, props to you guys for actually pulling this thing off. It sounds like a massive pain to work on.
in theory could you just add tags to items for the things they have? or is it not that simple
e.g. a frozen item gets the tag “mfrozen” or blasted gets the tag “mblasted”
