honestly if I was the exploiter behind the duping I’d consider vetex’s response to be the best possible outcome

They’ve already had plenty of time to duplicate whatever they like to economy-breaking amounts, and now they get the added bonus that they’re disrupting the entire playerbase by not giving the dupe exploit to vetex.
This is causing more havok than any exploit they could ever write and I bet they’re loving every second of it.

Vetex paying for the script wont really work anyways. Considering the exploiter gets profit from the script, he’ll probably play dirty anyways. I mean who would want to have their source of profit to be gone? That’s pretty much idiotic. ¯\ _ (ツ)_/¯

Their source of profit is a script that vetex is putting effort into patching and can’t even be profited off of at all now since trading is going to be down until it is fixed. There is no profit being made from the script because trading is disabled until the duping is patched. Selling the script to vetex is actually the best choice from the hacker’s perspective - there’s no point in trying to profit off the script now because you can’t trade at all now. Besides, it will inevitably be patched, so the only thing left to do with the script is sell it off and move on.

The one who made the script isnt really on the losing side since their intention was to ruin the game considering they make exploits. Even if trading is disabled, they still made profit from before it was disabled and they will never hand it over to vetex considering it became popular now, they’ll probably stop selling the script. Trading may be disabled but still they can still dupe items, all they need to do is wait for trading to be available again.

Even if it doesnt become available, the one who made the exploit is still on the winning side. As long as vetex finds out the script or makes a new way to prevent a dupe and wipe everyone’s inventory, which is the only option if things comes to worst, only then would they lose.

I was just thinking about that. He doesn’t have to hire them but it will be a good thing to have someone on your side to point out the holes in the game to patch up.

As a last option it sounded fine to me but I guess some people don’t like that idea?

You don’t know what the exploiter’s intentions are. Nobody does, because we don’t even know who made the damn thing. All we know is that it does exist by like a few images that got shared around of duped inventories. Unless you somehow know the person who made the code personally you can’t speak on their behalf on what they want, stop acting like you do.

It isn’t bribery, he’d be buying the script and in turn he would patch said script. And if you do know of a way of getting a script that maybe a handful of people have, do tell. You can’t just disprove my point without giving your own reasons and explaining why you feel that there are better options when you don’t even say what those options are.

Dude it’s obvious that every exploiter who made a script would have intention to ruin the game. Why else would they make the script anyways? If they dont intend to ruin the game, then they should play fair like what most people do.

Plus it’s best for Vetex to shutdown the game and rework around it to be more server-sided and fix problems with it since there’s tons of vulnerabilities to this game.

Again, you’re overgeneralizing a group of people that you know nothing about. “The exploiters that have the dupe script must be like that because every exploiter acts the same way!” is not a good explanation on how you personally know the exploiter’s intentions. Yes, some may have that view, but when we have no idea who the people behind this are, we can’t exactly go off and assume what they act like.
