Dude… Even if i know nothing on the group of people that created the script, it’s clear that any exploiter that created a script has clear intention of ruining the game. How the hell would you not see duping items as not ruining the game? They legit wanted people to have infinite amount of items that no normal player in game could possibly have. Like legit even if I know nothing of the group, it’s hella clear if an exploiter creates a script on a game that gives advantages is proof that they have intention to ruin the game.
You’re getting way too aggressive as if that makes your point any more reasonable. NOTHING is clear. Yes that’s a possibility but you fucking said it yourself that you know nothing about them. We literally saw a post in an exploiter forum of a duper selling duped items, so cLeArLy at least one person’s intentions (That we actually know has the script) of using the dupe script WAS to profit off of it. Maybe an exploiter that has it does want to destroy the economy. That’s why vetex disabled trading for the time being. But when we’re running out of ideas on how to fix this soon, this solution is the best way out of this mess. If the only thing you can use to back up your claim is that it’s “hella clear”, then maybe you should re-evaluate your argument.

Go check every exploit script that you can find on internet, they all have clear intention of ruining the game due to the impossible advantages that no normal player would be able to do.

Finding the exploiters doesn’t fix it if they can come back on alts or just keep using the same script
No, because exploiters would essentially hold his game ransom and seek to earn profit from it. He can just keep trading disabled for now until it’s fixed.

I DO understand exploit scripts ruin the game. They always do, and it really damaged Vetex’s last game Arcane Adventures - which I mentioned. And pulling this strawman out of your ass that I don’t think exploits ruin games is ridiculous when I already mentioned earlier how damaging it could be to the game if it isn’t patched soon.
Yes, those impossible advantages are what they want from making those exploits. That’s like the biggest reason why people exploit. Does that mean that all of them do? No. Don’t get me wrong, some exploiters do want to burn games to the ground and do make exploits with that in mind. Ruining the game is a major side effect of using exploits, which is what some exploiters want. But right now when all we need is one person who happens to have it and wants a bit of money, opportunistically this is what vetex should be trying to do.

Exploiters aren’t holding his game ransom. How would they? This isn’t some unpatchable script that will forever have the trade system remain closed. But the best way for developers to patch exploits is to have them directly and see how they work so that they can stop and see what the scripts take advantage of. Right now, vetex doesn’t have the script so not only he can do no testing or get any confirmation that his patch will fix the dupe script, but if he does happen to reopen trading and the script still works the economy will be driven into the ground and at that point an inventory wipe will be mandatory. This may be the only way he can actually get his hands on it, so that’s why it’s the best option for the game right now.

Ok with all of whatever that was in the past…
I think it’s too hard to tell exactly what the problem is with the game itself but judging by the quantity of exploits floating around and the pvp latency issues it is apparent to me that the game relies far too much on the client. Sure it makes things look nicer to a single player and for a single player experience I wouldn’t mind too much, but because there are up to 24 players in a server it is crucial that whatever client side code is running on the game gets checked out and redone to be more secure. Would fix a lot of the complaints going around on the forum as far as latency is concerned and make exploiting the game harder, even if it doesn’t fix the trade duplication exploit it will probably fix the damage exploits at the very least, and it’s just good practice.
