Yes, the client is naturally vulnerable, and yes every game has exploits because there is nothing stopping you from exploiting the roblox client itself, but as far as game specific exploits are concerned I feel a lot more can be done to make the game more secure, and relying less on the client to actually do things is one way you can. Speedhacks and X-Ray hacks work everywhere because roblox itself trusts the client to move your character around and show gui to the player. It is a completely different story when the exploiter messes with systems and mechanics designed by a game’s programmer. That means some not game related code is making its way to the client in a state that can be modified on the server as well from the client, and that’s a fixable problem. (usually without reworking too much)

Ok so speed hacks can be prevented, so can game specific hacks. Trying to keep writable information off of the client is a way to do that for game specific hacks.

Vetex already has the script I think, atleast someone showed me a SC of him saying he did. And by ransom I mean releasing economy breaking exploits and forcing him to pay for it since he would have to shut down trading. Also I find it very suspect why you keep flaunting that this is the best option for the game rn, kinda sounds like you want a payout.
Arcane Adventures had even worst issues with duping and he still managed to fix it, only took 3 inventory wipes. WoM duping is waaay smaller then AA duping was so vetex probably knows how to handle it
Paying an exploiter for a script just so you know how to fix something is the biggest pussy move ever + they could simply find another loop hole.
These losers can’t get the items themselves so they PAY for a cheat on a FREE game ruining the fun for others. I understand cheaters exploiting on garbage games that don’t deserve more than 100 players (simulators etc.)… but not this.

So now you’re accusing me of being a hacker that only made this to encourage a handout? That is a ridiculous claim. Not only do I literally not have it because it seems like only a few people do, but I doubt that an exploiter would make such a long post about a game just to get like $20 tops. I said vetex getting his hands on the script is the best option for the game development to continue because vetex has devoted all of his time trying to patch the exploit.
Arcane Adventures had those inventory wipes BECAUSE the duping got too out of hand, which is what he might (and probably will) have to do. It doesn’t matter what scale the duping is right now, what matters is how big it will get the longer it goes unpatched.
It doesn’t really matter if paying someone for a script is what you call a pussy move. It’s the fastest way out of this mess, and will get the game back on track 100% if vetex gets the code. Also, chances are it’s not even gonna be the one who coded the dupe script. If at least more than one person has it (which is highly possible, read my first edit on the original post), then the one who would most likely sell the code to vetex would be someone the person who made the code gave it to (As they may have wanted to use the script for profit but now can’t because trading is disabled). I feel like I have to edit my title now because it sounds like people are thinking that I want the person vetex would have to be paying to be the one who originally made the script.

Nah, he wont do inventory wipes. Duped items have a different ID then regular items. Vet can just wiped all duped items without even touching items that have a regular ID. Also you said the best thing vetex could do is pay someone to get the script, read your own post.

Big companies do that It is call bug bounty hunters. They higher professional hacker to find venerability and bugs in there code and recommend the company on what to do in the future.

I don’t give a shit if it’s risky, it’s taking the easy way out and is a valid solution. For someone talking shit about my idea a whole lot, you don’t seem to be giving any alternative solution other than “just fix the dupe lol”. Judging by the points you’ve given, I have my doubts that you actually know what game development is like, so I’ll tell you something you don’t know; brute forcing a solution takes time. It could be weeks or even more than a month before trading comes back. Not only that, even when vetex thinks he’s patched the script, he will have no way of knowing without it. If trading comes back and it happens to still work, it’s gonna be an even bigger problem. So if you think you have a better way of vetex getting his hands on this script, I’m all ears.
I said that, because nobody will give the script to vetex for free. You’d have to pay for them because only a few people have it and none of them are willing to actually give vetex the script as far as I’ve seen. Paying them is the best way because it might be the only way for him to get it at all. These people aren’t going to just hand the code over to vetex. The people on v3rmillion sold duped items, not the dupe itself. This is more like placing a bounty on a script. I have read my own post.
