So yesterday I made a post about the best anime of all time, and of course EVERYBODY agreed it was death note which makes complete sense. Now Im here with the best video game franchise of all time, many think im gonna say something like god of war ragnarok, not saying its a bad game its pretty good, but it doesn’t come CLOSE to the best game of all time.
You might be thinking things like elden ring, pokemon, kirby, animal crossing. WRONG! The best video game franchise of all time is much older then you think, the franchise that cemented dragons and princesses in history, this game is the reason why you see stuff like knights and kings, monsters and witches, and many other fantasy elements. Many of you are probably gonna think “he must be talking about dragon quest!” well your somewhat close, im guessing a ton of people already guessed it, the best video game of all time is The Legend Of Zelda.
Just by seeing this many people are gonna say “Man this guy is so stupid!!!1!11”, so lemme just say this is MY opinion(even though its right). Anyway if your wondering why its the best then let me tell you how, The Legend Of Zelda was released in 1986, which already makes it pretty old, they started with a classic save the princess and save hyrule from Ganon storyline. Now after this they made many legendary games such as The Wind Waker, or Ocarina of time, and Majora’s mask, and many more. This legendary game franchise is the reason why you see stuff like dragons and dungeons in fantasy video games now, they also are the same reason why open world games are so popular ever since Breath Of The Wild released, now you see a ton of people making open world games.
Not to mention the music goes hard fr fr, and the character designs are crazy cool, in general the characters like link and ganon are absolutely badass. Anyway thats it, lemme just say this is MY opinion so I don’t get bullied like last time
I’m the forum’s resident Mega Man fan but I’m going out on a limb and still saying Kirby.
I get that I really love Mega Man but if i’m being honest when people are considering recent releases and with a franchise and neglected as this, the fact that literally nobody gives a shit about any of the subserieses outside of Classic and maybe X, and how the only really 100% recognizable thing from the franchise isn’t the main character but is the main character’s sprite really knocks it for me
Consistently good games (LoZ still had some stinkers though have you ever played the CD-i games) no, Star Allies is not bad if you think that then your opinion is shit. Music goes crazy hard, being a consistent staple of the franchise. Character designs are fantastic and the fact that they’re much more minimalistic than other series really makes it even better in my opinion.
The only thing it really lacks is overall impact on the entire industry, but you could say that for a bunch of contenders for the title like Animal Crossing.
I stopped playing kirby because it made me no longer trust any of my friends to randomly betray me and become gods that can blow up the sun with a snap of a finger
