The bosses in AR are terrible

I think it was the fact that neither of them used magic. And they weren’t hard. Also the high level magic using NPCs are so aids to fight. King David is easier than both these bosses because fire has awful clash and he has cooldowns.

Welcome to every classic AA bossfight where winning was never satisfying because the game forces you to use the cheapest and cheesiest possible strategies to have any remote chance at the appropriate level.

People saying AR bossfights are trash aren’t wrong, but AA bossfights were also trash.
The difficulty in enemies in both games violently switches from ‘lol easy’ to ‘holyshitholyshit’ constantly for the majority of players.

I really think these bosses could have been so much better with just a few tweaks.
You should spawn near the boss if its a story quest. The attacks should always be avoidable in some way. You should be able to actually fight the boss without interruptions like “pirate helper” or “cool smoke”.
They would also be better with attack patterns rather than randomized attacks, so you can predict their movements.
Boss fights are all about winning despite how powerful the boss is, through memorizing their attacks and outwitting them.
If a boss is really smart, then they should never be too strong.

I hate unavoidable attacks, especially if they do high damage.

And david is by far the fairest. He doesnt have near 0 cooldown like exiled and mino and he doesnt have a 20 beam spell like mc captains

prometheus is literally just theos 2.

all they did was take theos, reskin him, give him bigger blasts and bigger numbers and called it a “nEw BoSs”

what pisses me off even more is that theos himself used to be my favorite boss in the entire game, and then they “rEvAmPeD” him to be utter dogshit.

theos USED to be a boss that was not only actually intuitive, interesting and actually felt rewarding to learn and master, but you also straight up couldn’t cheese him with the way the arena was built. (or at least it was very difficult)

now it feels like you basically have to cheese him in order to reliably beat him. because he’ll just spam the fucking arena nukes and force you in the water over and over again, and not only do you sometimes barely even get the chance to shoot at him, but you’ll occasionally just never get the button prompt to climb up and then you’re basically fucked by either shitty edge detection, sharks or his dumbass taking potshots at you

actually fuck AR. that game’s design philosophy pisses me off to absolutely no end

One thing I hate about the new theos, is that most of his attacks are now homing attacks, so they are basically impossible to dodge.
Then, when you get hit, you have to jump into the sea to remove the eternal burn debuff, which makes you vulnerable because you can’t jump, dash or run in the sea, so you just get hit by another broken attack.
