tbf, i do see where vetex is coming from
“warlord”, for example, has nothing to do with being good at both using weapons and martial arts. Its definition is more akin to that of a leader who holds power over portions of land.

Bro I saw the new names on a wiki screenshot in media chat and genuinely thought it was a shitpost
Dude, it’s too late for the arguments against him. He has already portrayed you all as the raging beast and himself as the calm, collected, and yet wise primate. Argue all you wish you shall only further prove his point
Same I was so confused when I saw it in rfao
because the feature still has ties to infamy???
I don’t see this on the Trello
Well at least we won’t have sitiations where new players don’t have a goddamn idea what a build does, but indeed, the ancient names were cooler
Cause it got reverted just like Kill-death-ratio
a new player seeing “strong warrior” would be just as confused
Bruh
Savant - Vitality Magic Strength Weapons
Berserker - Stregnth
Warlord - Strength Weapons
Warrior - Weapons
Knight - Vitality Weapons
Conjurer - Magic Weapons
Warlock - Magic Strength
Mage - Magic
Paladin - Vitality Magic
Oracle - Vitality
Juggernaut - VItality Strength
Names that will stay: Oracle, Warrior, Mage, Savant
Names that kind of make sense: Paladin, Knight (ordained by their gods)
Criteria:
Has to make sense
Has to be one word or rolls off the tongue easily (Strong Warrior, really)
Berserker will be Pugulist. Its another word for martial artist but it is mostly described for boxers.
Okay if we are NOT joking.
I have this concept in mind, called imbue-dominacy, basicly how much one route can get imbues.
So how about we use this system? But we change imbues with prefixes of hybird.
And with that here’s my ideas:
Vitality | Magic | Strength | Weapons | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Vitality | Oracle | Spirit Mage | Spirit Fighter | Spirit Warrior |
Magic | Magic Oracle | Mage | Magic Fighter | Magic Warrior |
Strength | Fighting Oracle | Fighting Mage | Fighter | Fighting Warrior |
Weapons | Weapon Oracle | Weapon Mage | Weapon Fighter | Warrior |
There are some reapeating stuff, but its because we are using different prefixes.
Maybe, if vetex is extra feely when he will code. The order of class and prefix would be determin by how much investment you put.
I still think this sounds REALLY good
Oracle- (Stays)
Mage- (Stays)
Warrior- (Stays)
Berserker- Brawler
Paladin- Spirit Mage
Juggernaut- Monk
Knight- Paladin
Conjurer- Sorcerer
Warlord- Gladiator
Warlock- Battlemage
Savant- Polymath (Maybe???)
Juggernaut will be Monk. Inspiration is from Shaolin monks, though they use weapons. Also partly from DnD because they primarily use unarmed combat.
stop cooking please
I once had an idea that Paladin (Mage/Oracle) should be “Diviner”.
Its mostly for the “It sounds cool” factor, but ig for the word “Divine” too (Since gods use both magic and spirit and MC’s unique awakening from having both, it being called “Divine Spirit Energy”)
