The class name incident

So, Vetex thought about re-naming the classes, which is good, the old names didnt make sense in most cases. The problem is half these new names were just ass “Oracle mage” “Weapon mage” “Strong warrior”.

The problem is he gets mad over people being ““immature”” and throwing insults at him for the change. Even though he stated he wasnt going to revert this change anyway. So apparently, our choice as a community is to take these new ass names or rant directly at Vetex to change them again, the choice is clear, if insults are the only way you’re gonna make this change, thats what people are gonna do.

This might also be related to everyone who’s deep in the community being sick of the constant name/lore changes, for things that technically make more sense but feel lamer overall.

Thing is, I bet new names would’ve been greatly appreciated by almost anyone if they actually sounded cool, like “Spellsword” for conj, or “Arcanist” instead of Oracle mage.

Spellsword is a very common alternative name for conjurer (And it’d make way more sense given the class)

I really don’t like having a weapon in the name of weapon based classes. Granted, Conjurer isn’t much better, but at least it isn’t tied to a sword.

Vetex, my man, “strong warrior” just sounds like an objectively better version of “warrior”, which isn’t being changed.

Also, you are NOT calling me a “weapon mage”. That is the lamest junk I have ever seen.

We could use “Synergist” for either Warlock or Conjurer, but what would we name the other?

I feel like Synergist is a pretty fancy way to describe a Warlock, seeing as how currently it gives “axe-wielding viking” vibes. Good!

I guarantee you, if these names were used on release, it would have become a meme to make fun of them.
I mean, you’re gonna put “Fighting Oracle” in the bottom left of my screen at all times? That shit silly as hell.
