I can KINDA see it, but the issue is, warlock can’t actually use weapons. So it’s more of bare-handed Viking vibes.
warrior remains unchanged warrior mains W

I think these could realistically serve as in-universe build names. What do you guys think?
Conjurer → Enchanter (and rename all enchanting stuff to “charming” and “charmed” so we don’t have another situation like “Aura” referring to three completely different things)
Warlock → Synergist
Paladin → Diviner (credit to @PinkButterflyGaming)
Knight → Paladin
Juggernaut → Zealot
Warlord → Juggernaut
Berserker → Brawler
Warrior, Mage, Oracle, and Savant stay the same
Frankly anything would be better than whatever the hell Vetex came up with
Zealot and Juggernaut are strange, but your ideas outside of those are nice.
New names for Juggernaut and Warlord are definitely the hardest.
Most people suggest Monk for Juggernaut, but I personally am very iffy on it. There are actual monks that still exist, so a double-meaning would be weird. I like Zealot because it sounds cool, and it’s a very niche term so there’s not really any loss from saying its meaning changed over time to refer to Spirit/Strength hybrids. But I do think we could find something better, it’s just so hard to.
I think Juggernaut makes perfect sense for Warlord, the only problem is that switching up preexisting names so much will confuse the community.
Warlords have a lot of muscle mass, they’re capable of wearing bulkier and heavier armor than most, and they wield giant weapons that they can swing with ease. Everything about them is incredibly imposing, in a different way to how a Mage’s prowess is.
It makes more sense than “Warlord” which is completely unrelated to the build itself. “Knight” wouldn’t work because that’s still being used to refer to the actual job. “Bruteknight” is clunky and sounds weird, “Brute” is bad because Warlords don’t necessarily have to act brutish, etc. Juggernaut is all I could find that worked.
I came up with a new name for conjurer and that is ‘weaponmancer’
How about this? I just took a bunch of other people’s ideas, so shoutout to people with good ideas.
-
Savant → Specialist, or Virtuoso
(Little more accurate, more known definition.) -
Berserker → Fighter
(Fighter actually seems pretty right, Berserker is too personal.) -
Knight → Wielder, or Paladin
(Encompasses their weapon types, no longer related to Vitality.) -
Juggernaut → Zealot
(No longer related to Vitality. Sounds a bit calmer.) -
Paladin → Arcanist
(Uses both types of magic, thus Arcane. Leans into their odd specialness.) -
Warrior → Kinetic
(Now related more to Weapon Aura, which seems like a bigger focus for this class specifically.)
(I don’t blame you if you won’t take this one.) -
Warlord → Warrior
(Just feels right, not too different though.) -
Warlock → Synergist
(Ties into their heavy use of synergies, and sounds less “frantic”.) -
Conjurer → Artificer, Augur
(Sounds more fancy, encompasses their imbuement.)
All of these seem a bit closer to what one in-universe might say if they had 10 hours to come up with a word to describe a class.
It’s very long and a little clunky
Yeah Warrior doesn’t change
Artificer is a great one, I hadn’t thought of that
I still prefer Diviner over Arcanist for Paladin personally, especially since it’s like the “holiest” build. Divine spirit energy and all that.
does stock know what a zealot is
also SPORE MENTIONED-
Well, it’s still only a bit.

also SPORE MENTIONED-
YEAHHHHH

it’s still only a bit.
nah juggernaut is most certainly calmer than zealot, considering how juggernauts play I think its fine though
Love all of them except Kinetic (uhh…)
Artificer? ZAMN (but doesn’t that mean “mechanic” but fancier?)
