Fighter is top tier, probably the only one nobody is miffed about.
Fighter is like, meh.
It’s not a step up from Berserker, but it’s not a step down, especially compared to these.
It’s kinda mid ngl, brawler or brute would be better

Berserker, Brawler, and Brute all kind of describe the user as a person, rather than their fighting method.
the name change makes some degree of sense imo since, instead of being restricted to “oh hey you’re a conjurer,” it’s moreso “oh you’re a person who uses weapons and magic,” if that makes sense
the name choices themselves are lackluster imo but the change is somewhat justified
it keeps it more open to the idea that the class system isn’t an actual canon thing, and it shows that it’s moreso just the user’s preference and pinpointed training (i’m a fighting mage so i like using fighting styles and magic, etc. etc.)

To be fair he was also getting criticisms for the current names too. In all contexts but gameplay these work far better
Good point, but this amplified that criticism. Replacing snappy titles with double-decker head-bangers like “Oracle Mage” or “Fighting Mage” brought more attention to the names, which wouldn’t have happened had they been left alone.
