They’re doing that for the sake of their love. They don’t want anyone to know their love and so must put on an act.
The proof of their love is in the testing universe as well. After all, they can spawn together. They’ll be spawned separated in the official release because they don’t want people to suspect they’re being lovey dovey. Heck the moment a player sees them together, they’ll start fighting in order to hide their love.

It’s to make you think he really did defeat him. If the system didn’t say that, then you will know it was an act.
How hard their love can be. They must show that they’re fighting whenever someone sees them together and one must act as if he’s killed in order to fool the person watching them and hide their forbidden love. HaaaaaAaAaaaHh how sad!

Two things concerning this, we can kill King David yet he would still be considered alive lore wise.
So I would say this wouldn’t count.
Now, when the storyline release then we can consider this as we, the player, will kill the Minotaur and Exiled.
It’s easy to fake their deaths. All it takes is to stop moving on the ground and endure the pain if ever the person who saw them checks the one who’s acting dead.

the real question is why should that be there when no one will use it
It only occurs to me now that the process of redesigning a texture on a mesh is a process that I do not know of, therefore the quality of the product I would make would be something undesirable and as such I believe I shall leave the true artist here to continue the difficult work while I sit back witnessing the progress.
