Helloo, I’m Soul and this is my first post here!

Happy 3rd Anniversary to AO, I’ve already posted this on twitter but figured it was important here too.
Since this year is pictured to be centered around emotional and favorite, intense moments that had a meaning to you, I immediately thought to include the Dark Sea’s Omen for mine. Meeting the Omen will forever be the most memorable moment for me from my journeys in the game, so I wanted to capture its size and the monstrosity it is into this art!

Least this thing knows, the volcano on the background will be its demise.

Also, is it just me, but even 25+ Far Reaches runs weren’t enough to meet even a single Omen. Is it a blessing, or a curse?

I LOVE THIS SO MUCH, FINALLY SOMEONE ACTUALLY DREW A BOAT!!! FOR A GAME THAT FOCUSES ON SAILING!!!

Anyways mind who yelled there, this is actually really cool gang, I love how the tentacle of the Omen is like impending doom, or like moment’s before disaster type of scene. Keep up the great work man :fire: :heart:

for a game that focuses on sailing it’s one of it’s worst qualities… BUT I AGREE! THIS ART IS EPIC! I LOVE THE DARK SEA IN CONCEPT!!!

If it’s purely solo, then yes you won’t encounter it often. I have to bring an alt with me to get it to reasonably spawn sometimes

If you keep crying, I’ll help you kill him. I can’t stand this boss who won’t leave me alone. I’m not going to Far Reaches because he always comes to bother me. Their items aren’t that good, the title is disgusting, and it gives me the impression that only show-offs use it, meaning “look at me good” when the boss is a catastrophic failure.

Good item alternatives are any titanium gilded armors with 3 painite, 3 drawback isn’t a big deal, I think it’s 50 health? As a mage who only uses surge and ray it doesn’t change anything, that would give 1000 defense. Don’t want a big drawback? Gilded Defense Armored Amulet with one painite, 1 drawback and almost 800 defense. Don’t want any drawback? Imbued Defense Armored Amulet. I don’t think losing 32 damage is better than 3 drawback for me.

Btw, now about the art, Dark Sea is really cool, we need more horror content. G lucky :+1:
