why would centers need chemically-treated water? at most, they heat it up due to using it to cool things down, and the more better way to handle them is to use it in a closed-loop so it doesn’t use any other water sources for most of the time

The water point is fucking moot and I’m tired of hearing it brought up as a solid point. There’s other things about AI that should be addressed than something that is vastly outclassed by what has been here for much longer in our society.
Id also argue hopefully with time the centers would become more efficient with their resource uses becoming even less of an issue like most things tend too with time
Given that this is an incredibly new technology, it is inevitable that it will become more efficient with time.
Like every technology ever starts out as horrific dogshit that’s worse than whatever it aims to replace. afterwards it improves and gets better with further research.
