mushroom

also i haven’t figured out how to draw them just yet but i’m gonna change her gauntlets to look like these bad boys because they look cooler.

i forget if i ever mentioned this, but aisha is a shapeshifter. her entire outfit is supposed to be made up of her own flesh. this is something i have tried and failed several times to convey in a way i’m satisfied with (or at all, probably), which is why i’m taking it very, very slow with this iteration. i’m kind of fucking sick of redesigning the same two ocs over and over again and i’d really like to start drawing other things.

i already have a vague idea of how i want to do this, i think; belt straps are substituted with tendons and held in place with some kind of bone structure, for one. not sure what i’ll do past that just yet but i’ll figure it out

Oh come now, don’t call this the junkyard. Only I’m allowed to hate myself here. Your art is visibly improving, and, unlike some people (me), you actually try to shade and post fairly regularly when not on break.

“The Junkyard” is the name of Aisha’s gun shop.

It is also a reference to the Junkyard Dog, a weapon used by Sol Badguy in Guilty Gear Xrd.

Worry not. I know what I’m worth.

dumb bullshit practice sketch i did in five minutes because i have nothing else to show

so. random thought. if im just trying to get an idea on paper for, say, a reference sheet for example. maybe i should probably allow myself to simplify my art style a bit and not go as all-in on certain details like i usually do?

y’know, just so i’m not taking thirty fucking years to make everything i make?

i think that’s a good new years resolution actually. granted, it’s a bit late for that at this point.

its been becoming more frequent that im just too busy to draw and it doesn’t really help that my process is so fucking meticulous and slow–previously it was only an issue because i’m an impatient bastard and redrawing the same line more than five times pisses me off

i think i wanna dedicate this year to learning how to draw faster. and re-approach how i do lineart, while i’m at it. because the way i do it now looks fuckin’ gross.
