description:
an abnormal storm had been spotted near (island name), which is concentrated in a single spot, passing sailors reported seeing a large blue fin inside the storm.

(there will be a circle of radius where you can find the boss and fight it,you cant damage it outside of that circle of range and as soon as you enter the radius the boss appears)

This is a pretty cool idea, the only issue I have is that the drop rates might be a little too low and the damage it does to ships may be a little too high depending on how difficult it is to dodge its attacks. This suggestion will probably be better suited for farther along in the game when the average boat defense is a bit higher.

i would make an animation on the attacks but im horrible at thart

imma just edit afew things rq

drop rates are so absurdly low that none of the items are even worth getting

Yeah looking at it again drop rates are insanely low which makes it not at all worth putting in the effort to fight this thing unless you really like fighting it.

We have another prime example of why you don’t put specific numbers in your suggestions.
People WILL fixate solely on that and your suggestion will die!

On another note, dear god those droprates are awful and the boss only spawns once every 2-3 hours???

so a problem with this (aside from GPO syndrome) is that I’m pretty sure the Leviathan is already a planned sea monster, as that one guy at sailor’s lodge talks about it. And while this is similar, that one is meant to be small and presumably use the storm much more

This monster straight from sols RNG but if each roll was 2 hours long to use

recommend me some drop rates

25%

also just a random chance to spawn just like white eyes in place of a shark, not fuckin 2-3 hours

reason why its a raid boss

no.

also I feel like you HEAVILY underestimate boats. 10 thousand hp is only 50 brisk harpoon gun shots, and small, easily kiteable attacks by just moving a little is nothing, not to mention that my (not maxed out) brig has currently 27k durability. And I can easily get more. 2000 damage is nothing. This isn’t a raid boss, it’s just a sea monster. I think you’ve had too much of glass sail ships to realize that this isn’t very difficult

im really bad at calculating

the original damages were around 4k-9k

Still, it wouldn’t be very hard

:face_holding_back_tears: :face_holding_back_tears:

and REALLY wouldn’t warrant A TWO-THREE HOUR LONG WAIT

:eyes: uh oh
