the Minecraft stan community—a vent

…My fucking god. I thought the degenerates were bad for the shit Bacon mentioned but holy fucking shit
Even the other ones are degenerates. I swear, that game mostly attracts the most mentally degraded people. Keyword, mostly. You’re an obvious exception.

They’ll grow out of it eventually. I doubt they’re going to grow up into 30yos who send death threats to random JSchlatt fans.

Just dropping this here:

Twitter :frowning: - Off Topic - Arcane Odyssey

I’m not lesbian, so I can’t really input it on how I feel about the joke or whether I get to accept the apology or blah blah blah whatever. This is just a general blanket statement regarding twitter as a whole; I don’t think people understand just how hard this can affect someone. I’m baffled that people think that this is a good way of educating, because all it does is teach the OP not to go anywhere near them at all. Unfortunately this is becoming a very widespread method of “”“activism,”"" and I don’t think it’ll work out in anyone’s favor. The internet’s given kids wayyyy too much power lmfao.
90% of the qrts are minors saying stuff like this. I guarantee you, Khoi Dao will not be coming back. How hard is it for them to just block and move on??

Conclusion: Twitter bad

I feel bad only giving these short responses to your paragraphs, but it’s all I got. And yeah, these people are total idiots, and children too. But I’m noticing a few of them (Like the ones who targeted a transphobic person who was likely a child for harassment) are anywhere from 15-17, and the 17 ones may be going on 18. I don’t have much hope if, firsthand, I have seen people around my age like that. At such a point, it seems these people have it ingrained into their minds that this is a good way to go about their lives. Sure, a lot of them may be children, but my point stands regardless.

And you’re welcome, and I appreciate the flattery.

these bozos can’t even cancel jschlatt simply because he doesn’t show any sign of notice

sites like funy bird place only add coal to the inferno

Personally, I’m not so sure about that.

I tend not to make any generalizations about internet echo chambers and subcultures and shit because it’s a relatively new thing in human history. You have people whose main source of socialization is online, and it’s becoming more and more prevalent. You never know what eldritch demon might pop out.

Also, even if they eventually grow out of the fandom, their toxic personality will most likely not immediately leave them when they do.

They’re kinda sadistic too. After realizing that not even doxxing Schlatt was enough to get him to care, they started harassing every content creator that he’s friends with. I heard they harassed TommyInnit off of Twitter because he didn’t sever all ties with Schlatt. Just yesterday, Tubbo was trending because of a collab they did with Schlatt, and there were multiple people that called him a bad person for profiting off of a “racist.”

literally raised by their content creators, then they’ll cancel them and harass their friends
