pros:
-you can now hide chat
-chat messages no longer continue to the middle of the screen
-chat messages do not linger forever and the window fades away after a while without a new message
-you can now scroll in chat
cons:
-not really all that big on the new font
-no more gradients on the text
-kinda breaks boss messages. they still show up in chat but like argos doesn’t always have the text bubble above his head
I personally don’t like that it disappears, but I can get used to it.
i like it just cause i like having a cleaner screen when information isnt relevant

only thing i dislike about it is the font and lack of gradients but like. ill take it for no longer having to deal with castaways giving me their autobiography for rescuing them
its just default chat with a different font, its fine but unfortunately robloxs new default chat sucks compared to the old one

Hoping that eventually Vetex can figure out a way to bring back the attack gradients and clan icons in chat, or Roblox adds that compatibility to the system.
There have been people talking in patreon chat about ways to keep the custom chat with the new rule in place, not sure how legitimate those are as actual solutions for when the actual due date for the change comes around, but hey there’s hope

Reviewed some gameplay since it has been months since I’ve played AO, but I honestly don’t think the old chat was better. I need to see how our responses look in chat, but if it follows the same format it honestly might look better this way.
oh yeah i agree that the new chat is better
like i miss some of the visual flair of the old one but im willing to take that so that we can have better control over it

i like it because i can use / to chat again (this has been an issue entirely specific to me and like, 2 or 3 other people)
