I think I said that a long time ago (not just me, others have too).
It’s quite literally one of the only ways to thwart OLEG.
Don’t quote him.
Don’t respond to him.
Don’t react to his posts.
No attention = no reason to continue being stupid

9/10 posts he makes are just either complete nonsense, NSFW, or cryptic gibberish that don’t contribute to anything except to just draw attention
maybe it’s better we observe quietly and see if the storm passes over time.

@fish I know this sounds extreme, but maybe this post should get closed in order to prevent any more quotations or any form of attention bringing to OLEG

On the other hand I feel allowing troll accounts is a net negative for the forums.
The forums are designed as a place for drawn-out serious(to an extent ofc) conversations that could not occur in other mediums such as vetcord. Troll accounts like oleg derail threads, make off topic remarks and be a nuisance. Troll accounts being allowed to operate on the forums similarly signals to other users that running a troll account is acceptable and a good method to attract attention. This in turn causes the forums to become more similar to something akin to vetcord.
Troll accounts should be quickly weeded out to prevent all of the above from occurring.

Vs the emotional “It ain’t that serious cuh”
I don’t think anyone’s being uptight, but like what Rezan said, OLEG and other similar troll accounts both derail threads and encourage the troll behavior.
“Having fun” & “being silly” only fuels the fire for these trolls, and could eventually result in worse offenses. Remember, OLEG has been temporarily banned before, he could be again, and for something possibly worse.
Either way, idk how anyone rathers an idiot over someone who contributes to the conversation, even if I will admit it is funny on ocassion.
