disclaimer: the gap between tiers is very small
i think the magic balance is in a pretty good spot and all of these magics are more or less on the same tier depending on build and whatnot

Put shadow at the bottom and bring up Plasma, then it’s the true tier list. Crystal slander WILL be tolerated (crystallized fucking sucks).
fr crystal is overrated just cus it gets a damage boost every few moves
the worst part is the god awful visuals
It’s only usually gonna be hit on grabs, so it’s a 33% boost to a single hit of a grab. It’s not even overrated, I’ve never seen a glazer. It needs a buff to be good, no synergies and a random 80% reduction with glass.

Crystal DOES have horrible visuals, though. The only good looking ones are ruby and tourmaline. Even those are worse than something like Plasma (the best magic) or even Sh*dow.
Sand needs to get moved up.
It’s got the stats 0.975x damage, 0.95x speed, and 1.1x size, with some of the best synergies for a magic, as shown here:
and while it doesent work anymore, sand-thermo used to be an absolute monster. the burning synergy combined with the high imbue just buffed thermos damage for no penalty (and it would weirdly stack burning sometimes)

I’d swap ice and snow too, ice doesent do enough damage to compete with the other heavy magics.
