Can’t believe the Original Calamity mod died today holy crap, we almost missed it until tomorrow too.
For some reason I’m surprised that people give a shit about kids being endangered… when said endangering was happening on discord, y’know, the platform that has taken action to stop child victims from talking about their experiences, and trying to help predators with certain actions they’ve taken recently.

For a mod that’s been with me for the better part of my life and has helped me through some of my darkest times, this burns my soul in a way few other things ever could. Just a week ago, I would’ve said that Calamity has a long but bright future ahead of it (culminating in the long awaited final battle against Yharim). Now, I can’t really find the right words to even respond to things.
Of course, fuck Fabsol and fuck Ozzatron They deserve nothing in life and their presences were nothing but a cancer that was caught far too late. Maybe in another world, they could’ve been cut out and Calamity would’ve been saved. They would’ve been brought to proper justice… but that’s not how things go, I guess.
I have many, many fond memories with this mod. I hope someone does end up making a Yharim addon eventually, so that there can be some semblance of “completion” to this damned mod. Until then…

i installed terraria back in 2023 exclusively to play calamity and its addons. to see it go out this way is so disheartening
is it really so hard to not like children? are mature people that difficult to speak to?
i seriously hope calfables succeeds and thrives without the presence of bad actors, and becomes something that can replace the toxic waste
The problem with pedos is that they will try to make other people into pedos, but currently either children (and presumably mostly males) don’t feel like they can talk about that stuff, or we don’t have anything currently developed to help support victims and help them not become a perpetrator just like the person who harmed them.
