Like the sane human being I am, I woke up today and realised my love for treasure charts. I have spent hours doing nothing but charting. I just love digging holes! And recently, with the chest update, my love for charting has been refueled

So, what’s the idea?
Dig up 1 million treasure charts.

I think there is a stat in the game that shows how many charts you’ve completed? If not, Im already counting manually </3. Given how long charts take, this is gonna be… well, a long time. I doubt I’ll ever reach 1 million, but, heres to hoping!

I’ll update this thread every week or so with milestones and progression updates – even some funky loot and funny tidbits. This will all be done on my 0-stat file too!

Current plan

  • Obtain a marking Golden Shovel – obtained a wooden marking shovel, which serves my blind butt better
  • Obtain a rich Golden Shovel – Obtained a fortune golden shovel, done!
  • Obtain speedy big fast ship, neglect all other stats, we need to outrun the opps

On the note of reaching 1 million treasure charts, I wonder if there’s an efficient way to do them.
Do each indivdual chart spot on rare+ charts give +1 or does completing them only give 1? Should test this out.

As for this, are you only allowed to count it if it’s from the treasure chart? WIll this include other variations (Dull, Fair, etc)?

Also might want an agility build for getting around easier :slight_smile:

1 mil for something like skill xp I can understand but treasure charts are gonna be on the next level of PVE grinding and boredom

I dont think bro realizes how much 1 million is :sob:

if we take 5 minutes per chart its gonna take 8333 hours, or 347 days. A whole ass year straight of treasure hunting

Yep! Every amulet variant, all from charting! I have actually gotten all the rich amulet variants so far, But by god dull is escaping my grasps already

Agility for my ship is my aim first, which might take a while. Today I actually obtained 2 golden shovels, and 1 of them has fortune on it! So Im fairly excited

I actually am terrible at ship combat, so I run away 99% of the time – agility on a caravel is the best bet for m e, given my render distance and affinity for cramming my ship in places it shouldnt be

all I have to say is good luck don’t forget to have fun as well!
(tip put a timer up so when the time is up and you want to keep going you going to carry that till the next time and you going to want to keep going)

You should invite me to a party so I can reach lvl 125 in like 5 hours

Update:

I got 2 goldsights !

This means I am no longer required to juggle between 2 shovels - astounding!

Also the value of the entire haul!
I dont have the sanity to sell them all individually to every shop keep with how long it takes for the inventory to load, but it makes one of the goals promising
