The problem with joining the grand navy

First, the ranks are way too hard and grindy to get, seriously 300k fame for good drip?? This wouldnt be a problem if fame was as easy to get as bounty

2nd Influence being useless, influence doesnt help you AT ALL, why would you need more grand navy ships when pirate ships are already super easy to beat?? The only reason why would want more influence is to have safer cargo runs

3rd Island claming just stirs up problems, you have no idea how many times I went to harvest to take down a criminal and then I capture the island, usually harvest has a clan claiming it and they get pissed at ME when its not even in my control, they usually bring their clan members and it turns into a 1v3

4th, now for the WORST one, the drip is absolute GARBAGE for marines and vice captains, the fact that you don’t get decent drip until 300k fame is actually just wild, like I said before this wouldnt be a problem if fame was just as easy to get like bounty

Unfortunately im in the navy for my third file and right now it kinda stinks.
Maybe later it will get better.

That’s hella funny, because the Assassins have drip until 300k when it is completely obliterated

The fact that being in the Navy and Assassin guilds overwrites your clothes is nonsensical and stupid. You should be able to wear your usual clothes.

You join navy for Reknown protection and serve said navy with abilit to jail people

you just said that it has purpose and it’s not usless

they can’t do jack shit to you. If they are criminals why are you bothering in first place of said captured islands?

same stuff as from above

Isn’t this the same guy who supports and defends communism and socialism?

You do realize its a 3v1, not to mention I just said im doing bounty hunting since that and ship battling are really the only good ways to get fame

Indeed it is

People join the grand navy for extra fame not to jail people, you don’t get any benefits from jailing do you? That just enforces people to raid silverhold to free them

Unless you’re like me and joined for the explicit purpose of controlling other people’s playtime

you can’t get “extra” fame as you are treated separately from heroes

By extra fame I meant you dont have to constantly bounty hunt

you gain 400 bounty, for players 800

if you take bounty poster, you will be treated the same way as heroes by most of the time

If you bounty hunt as a grand navy you get the same fame, 400, bounty hunting doesn’t add anything as a GN member, also the 800 thing can be prevented because players just decide to swim into the ocean then combat log, although after the next patch they cant do that anymore so you got me there gotta admit

man never used any tools to prevent combat logs in seas :ok_hand:

yea its kind of a pain to get fame in the navy

currently the most efficient way is rival hunting which is really disappointing because they die in like 10 seconds and arent much fun to fight

player hunting is nearly impossible, got to ~100k fame through pvp on my navy file and like, 6/10 people logged the second they saw the navy logo on my ship
had to resort to jumping people or farming people who insisted on coming back to 0 bounty instead of actually 1v1ing like a normal person

the lack of drip is literally the only reason i didnt join the navy

I do not care about the other flaws of the Navy the only major flaw with Syndicate and Navy is that they won’t let you use your vanity the uniforms they have are so dry especially vice admiral drip it’s actually horrendous man

Someone needs to suggest Navy and Syndicate to have access to vanity mannnn (talking about non-leaderboard ranks)

wait ppl have actually done that?

the people i’ve pieced up in servers havent clogged on me at all when i encounter them at sea or land.

if it’s common place then it probably could stem from the fact my gravy file is a berserker
