Ahhh I’m so happy to finally finish this one, took me quite a while to handle how to finalize their outfits. But I am quite pleased if I’d say so myself!
I love these character and wanted to do them justice best I could.
(Quite the old sketch now, My first doodle of them!)
Outfit explanation!
Edward kenton
Now I already drew edward a ton of times due to my short comic “The man I met on elm island” But I didn’t really base him off of anything there. And I wanted to finesse him best I could. He also wore scraps and not his Iconic outfit so here it is!
Details:
I was really struggling with how to minimize all the things going on his upper torso area… The guns and the shoulder armor… the cape and the belt. It is quite crowded for a character you’re suppose to draw a bunch of time, practically.
So what I did here is try to give it the same look but perhaps a bit more easy of the eyes and at the end easy for my soul to digest
- The shoulder armor , I never know how they attach these shoulder armors! so I scurried google to find some ways to connect them like the yee-old times did!
They have a belt each arm and front back of the torso for max security! - The jacket is inspired by some pirate jacket (mostly) It is quite simple but the it is tucked into the belt so It doesn’t fly around and distract him working!
- The cape I sadly had to shorten, It’s a small hood now, easier to adjust and just pull on whenever rain comes. He will only wear the long rendition in colder areas or when hiding, It is just quite impractical when battling, too easy to snatch. So many times he just chooses to wear the short version on boat.
- The sword is connected to the waist belt with it’s own case! He is left handed so It’s on the right. But I sadly had to get rid of the guns… I couldn’t draw them in the right way and they crowded the chest area, He might use them free handed I guess.
- As always I like the pants tucked in boots since It’s less likely to trip on. and The boots here are better for any combat and ship duty, They are heavier!
- And just to finish it off I just gave him more defined hair and kept his stubble and dimples. I like the idea of edward having dimples :]
Enizor
I had the feel enizor would be such a comfort character on board. The beloved family guardian, Always in to give good faith and share his wisdom… besides that one story / his project he hasn’t told the player about… but none the less he is quite the fella to keep around!
Details:
- mostly same fit, but I was confused on his robe… It seemed to me like 2 parts mostly but with the same color? So for him I actually separated it. He wears a long sleeveless vest coat on top his mage robe embedded with teal ends. Sewed in good decorative manner. The 2 piece set is matching the hat he wears. He got them all together as they are meant to be worn as a matching fit.
- The belt he wears can hold scrolls, small tube elixirs and one emergency potion , even a small book he writes stuff in like spells and insight he has about things. Like an all of all notebook!
- He grew the beard quite long since who has time to go to the village barber come one! We love casting spells… Instead! But luckily his head hair didn’t suffer old loss, He kept his youthful short curls through and through!
- And just in general I hoped I made him look proper to his age. a bit more slim, perhaps a bit shorter then edward, some winkles here and there. But his warm welcoming eyes of emerald tells a story of a long life, one he wishes to tell you one day…
Thank you for readingg!!
