I started by making the orchestral version, and then decided to see what it would sound like if I used a piano.

Sounds like you’re part of the brass legion when you made the orchestra.
In case you don’t know, there’s this music about the tubas and their class. For starters, search tuba knight boss theme and from there on, you’ll see recommendations to the brass legion. Be prepared as well since you’re about to enter the brass legion’s territory.
