I saw that it was CGI and didn’t bother watching past the first five minutes of the first episode when I first heard of it.
Anime is like milk&cereal, CGI like soda; You don’t mix the two.
I remember RWBY fondly - maybe because Rooster Teeth made Red Vs Blue and I’ll always adore that show.
It’s been a while since I watched it. Maybe I’ll give it another go - I usually like reviewing and analyzing films and media to challenge myself. See if I’m just seeing RWBY with nostalgia (those MCs are lesbians, adorable, and I totally don’t relate to Blake ANYWAYS-)
Uh I don’t much about it other then there’s apparently a lot of stuff that happens later on in the series that wasn’t really set up and thus were bad payoffs and people like to pretend that it was planned from the beginning despite clear evidence to the opposite. Not really certain if that’s true, but for some reason rwby criticism comes up a lot on social media platforms I frequent, and they usually come with some pretty damning evidence. Then again I might be missing context, but the stuff seems legit and there seems to be consensus that this is the case anyways.

There’s a lot of gripes i have with the show, but the one thing that irks me the most is Cinder’s backstory due to just how wasted it feels.
Spoilers in case if you do happen to be interested in watching the show
Abuse? Seriously? One of the most twisted characters in the entire show, one willing to kill as many people and to transform her body something similar to a grimm to get what she wants, and the best they could’ve done for her backstory was an abuse story? Not her witnessing how low humans could stoop down to the point of being monsters, to the point where she wouldn’t be afraid of the grimm because of said experiences, and ultimately seeing people and grimm as beasts all around? Yeah, I get abuse sucks but they’ve had so much more to choose from! But no, use something that would’ve fit Adam a whole lot better, yeah I can totally see sense in that.
