There was once a great sailor of the great War Seas. They wwere kind, but were firm. They wouldn’t go down without a fight if you dared to attack their friends. They had grown this way after sailing alone. Their two closest friends, Ezio Zenith and Jean Lucius, were met after saving them from dying as castaways. It was a dark and stormy day. They had just delivered cargo from Frostmill Island to Palo Town. The seas were harsh. The sailboat was barely holding on, ready to break at any moment. Until, they saw them.
“Please, help us!”, pleaded the castaways.
Upon hearing them, they didn’t hesitate to toss a rope as they both climbed on.
“Thank you! We owe our lives to you, sailor!”, said one of the castaways, kneeling on the floor.
Atsuko, who was piloting the ship through the storm, reassured them.
“I doubt it will ever come to that, but you have no need to repay me.”, said Atsuko as the ship creaked in the storm.
“Really? Are you kidding?”, asked the other castaway, dumbfounded.
“You never chose to become castaways.”, explained Atsuko with a smile on their face.
“What would your name be, o Savior?”, said both the castaways, eager to know the name of their savior.
“Atsuko. Atsuko Lokes.”, said Atsuko as Frostmill Island came into view.
“My name is Ezio, and this one is Jean.”, explained the short girl.
“I see, well, we’re almost here. I’ll ask have to ask Alice to repair my ship. She’ll drain me of my money, no doubt.”, said Atsuko, pulling out a small sack of Galleons.
“Oh, oh! Let me do it!”, said Ezio.
“Do what?”, asked the confused Atsuko.
“Well, you see, Ezio is a shipwright herself. She’d do it for free.”, explained Jean.
Suddenly, the ship hit the dock. As it crashed, holes in ship caused it to sink. Atsuko, Jean and Ezio all jumped out and looked at the sinking sailboat.
“Well, it is what it is.”, said Atsuko with a frown.
Atsuko walked away but Ezio and Jean followed.
“Huh, you’re saved. Do you need something else?”
“Let us join you!”, shouted the two from the top of their lungs.
Atsuko was confused.
“We want to join your crew on the high seas!”, said Ezio, pointing out into the expanse of the Bronze Sea.
Atsuko looked down, silent. Ezio and Jean eagerly waited their response. Suddenly, they answered the question.
