The Steel Commander's Navigator

If found I’m likely dead, you might as well keep it - McPherson

Day 248

We cleaned up the mess from the wedding we had yesterday. I just saw the Sun yesterday and I already miss it.

Might as well summarize what I do to make sure I haven’t gone insane, or at least insane enough that’ll hurt someone.

My main job on this piece of floating scrap was to predict the weather and chart courses across the seas along with keeping an eye out for ships.

Issue is, while I can predict the weather, its because ITS ALWAYS FUCKING RAIN. I’ve only had one prediction in the 248 day since we left Silverhold that’s not been rain, and that was yesterday.

I can’t chart courses since Max says it’ll just be safer if we just hunker down at against Pelion Rift instead of sailing around. He’s right, but it just makes me more useless. I can’t even give call outs of Atlantean ships until their in range of us since the sea is shrouded by waves and fog

I don’t have to do much, which feels like a blessing and a curse sometimes. I don’t have to put nearly as much effort in as the others do, but I feel useless for that. I also don’t get as respect from the crew, though I’ve served with Max long enough that most folks just see me as a veteran sailor.

Day 252

Max passed me a clearsight potion today, it’s doing wonders.

I felt like I could see from North Pelion to Whitesummit.

Also seems like there aren’t many Atlanteans around here, guess they’d have no reason anyways. The Jaws are stopping em from coming from the West, Pelion Rift stops em from North and East, and Whitesummit / The Stepstones doesn’t stop em but distracts em to the point where they just don’t come our way.

Day 260

Cook got sick today some cold or flu I hope, Max has been locked in his quarters taking care of her.

Eddy’s looking kind of under the weather too but he volunteered to take the wheel while Max cares for Cook.

If either of them are infected, I don’t think any of us have the heart to put them down. I don’t think Max could mentally survive Cook’s death either.

Hopefully everything and everyone is okay, Roy’s heading down to lower deck to ch

Day 272

First time in weeks I’ve gotten the strength to write. Eddy collapsed while I was writing Day 260’s log, I ran up to check up on him but I collapsed a bit after. Roy was heading down to check our food supplies, said something about it tasting off.

Some fucker was poisoning it, said it was for betraying Silverhold.

Roy threw him overboard for that

I’ve been coughing up [Blood Splatter]

Well, that blood landed in the perfect pos

Day 281

I’m dying.

I think I took [Blood Splatter] of the poisoned food.

That fuck was trying to hit Max where it hurt, think he only poisoned the food of Cook, Roy, Montgomery, Edward, and [Blood Splatter].

I’ve been vomiting blood for the past few days.

I doubt that it’s going to st

Day 295

I think I’m past the point of [Blood Splatter]

All I take [Blood Splatter] my death won’t take away a [Blood Splatter] of the ship

I’m so weak that [Blood Splatter] be dead.

If there is a god out there [Blood Splatter] what I’ve can’t be forgiven but [Blood Splatter] sunny skies for the rest of their lives.

Max, Cook, Eddy, Roy, Montgomery, if anyone of you are reading these, know that I love you all and that I regret none of our time together but I do regret how useless I’ve been for you guys through the entire inva
