Tidal Takedown was only hard because for some reason the boss had…enemy hp scaling? player-based health multiplier? who knows, and because of that it was impossible to duo hard.

Oh right, don’t forget the ducks, which is what my friend complained about 24/7.

I never played the summer event but I heard how it wasn’t easy.

I dunno man I have nothing against hard maps, like my favorite maps of all time are literally blastech and bleak barrens, but the thing with those maps is that you’re kind of expecting them to be hard, whereas these event maps are only worth like 2 skulls and you’re quite shocked as to what you’re actually gonna get.

ironically Tidal Takedown is 1 skull in challenge mode, even though it should be like 4 or 5 for how annoying that experience was.

The only contract on Frigid Fortress exclusively is Toothy Deer Man and you don’t even need to play the map to get him
Look for his antlers, click on them and you got him, that simple

I dunno man, I mean every TH map I’ve played recently just… doesn’t feel very special anymore. I sort of don’t feel like playing the holiday event.

back then TH maps had a certain magic to them for me because they were so different at the time compared to most other games of the genre, but now that magic is sort of gone. I feel like the feeling of wonder for me peaked when the april fools event with the zombie map came out.

They don’t really even make new raid maps anymore which is a massive bummer

No? Frigid Fortress has 4 skulls on Challenge and 4.5 on Casual
To @Devisk’s statement of saying Tidal has 1 skull, it has 2. Still way too low though

what sucks is, raid maps were literally the most unique feature tower heroes had.

I agree with you, at the moment Tower Heroes is kind of becoming TDS 2.0 with the ridiculous difficulty of recent maps. It saddens me a bit, honestly

Yeah they really are, I think the most recent one is Abandoned Alleyway if memory serves right

This massive powercreep in the new maps honestly is sad, because it kills the identity of other maps like bleak barrens a little.

with maps like bleak barrens i feel like you were expecting them to be hard, but I kind of don’t get why they make the christmas events and halloween events so egregious, looking at maps like pumpkin paranoia and frigid fortress.

Also kinda unrelated but I think re-using the scavenger system from halloween was a little lazy but that’s just my personal opinion, I feel like they could’ve done something more interesting, hell, even a new advent calendar would be cool.

I am not sure if that’s the right use for the term powercreep, but yeah the new maps just seem hard for the sake of hard
The new event maps somewhat try to warn you by having level requirements and high skull count, but still I don’t think it’s high enough to justify this decision of really hard maps
Also yeah agreed, I was hoping for the Advent Calender to return, bummer. Also Halloween wasn’t the first event to use this contracts thing, Easter was with its Egg Hunt. This is the third this system is being used

I mean I guess it’s not so bad, they can just be viewed as special maps for veteran players who want a challenge, stuff like the bakery and toy takeover are for newer players.

Though the halloween maps are honestly all pretty hard lmao
