The Tragic Story Behind My Greatest Blunder in Arcane Odyssey

It was February 27, 2023 at 10:57 AM.

I was in my Audio Video Tech & Film class goofing off with friends. At the time, I was lacking a computer because my old laptop had decided to commit self die and gave me BSoD. Not being a technician and having had that laptop for many years, I decided to order a new one. During this downtime, Arcane Odyssey released and had even had its first event already. I was missing out on all of the fun. So, I booted up Roblox on our school’s computers and played Arcane Odyssey for the first time. Not having known the blunder I was about to make.

For a bit of context, I had played WoM a lot. Like, a LOT. One of my files was a lightning mage and while it wasn’t my “main” file so to say, I did spend most of my time on it because wind wasnt all too great back in WoM. The problem is, I based this character off of my first high school crush, and although I am a bit ashamed to admit it, she was one of the blonde popular girls (Cut me a bit of slack, it was 5 years ago so I was like 13).

What I didn’t know, is that my files would save across games. I was pleased! I had my wind file still with his iconic drip. However, that very same girl was IN this class. Once I realized that I practically had my cosplay of her on full display, I immediately erased it in embarrassment.

That, was my blunder. For on that file I had probably 5 million galleons worth of seasonals today. See, when I said I played on that file a lot, I meant like 70% of my total WoM time. It wasn’t so much as the fact that it was because the file was a cosplay of my crush, but mostly it was just because I liked lightning magic.

When the WoM 2020 Halloween event rolled around, I exclusively grinded it on this file. Knowing from past experience, I realized that these seasonals would likely be worth a lot in the future. I grinded as much as I could and even spent a lot of my money buying back seasonals that people sold to shop npcs. I spent most of my time on WoM just running around killing the Exiled/Minotaur and opening chests, so although I never had any sunkens I had a lot of boss items which would now have been maybe about 16 or so of those Magius Tokens or whatever they’re called. Although I never got the headless (buying the accessories from npcs didnt check them off on the list and some of them I was too lazy to grind combined with the fact this was about the time my laptop died), I still had many many of the other seasonals.

To add salt to the wound, my school soon afterwards banned Roblox so I never even completed the first easter event either.

But oh well! I still have my memories and that’s all that we can ask for, right? :face_holding_back_tears:

I sold my first headless to Ironport’s fishmonger, lol. Would have been funny, if someone found it.

i wish i did :sob:

actually i dont because that’d add more salt to the wound

Dang, your country doesn’t allow you to play roblox anymore kinda sucks because there’s gonna be an upcoming update, and it’s massive.

I remember being an absolute idiot, ignoramus, a complete lobotomite with an IQ at room temperature because when AO released and I had magius tokens of the time I used to constantly grind minotaur I’m pretty sure I sold them to vendors for like 50 galleons in Redwake :skull:
