Online fighting didn’t have full established part in the lore yet and Theos wasn’t a known character, but it’s set like 200 years before AA and 600 after Theos and Durza fought
online fighting was probably during the time where villages started to develop again, keep in mind that durza nearly made the human race extinct with the blast or smth idk
It’s not a plot hole if that’s what you meant, the lore isn’t set in stone as what Vetex plans is not finished, so I’m sure it’s just a placeholder as your mother
