Third Week of Discussion 3: The Future

Merry Christmas to those who celebrate and a good day to all whether you celebrate it or not!

Sorry for no topic yesterday (lol I forgot)

Today is a topic that I’ve asked before previously in a Week of Discussion. What do you think we’ll see in the future of AO?

Potential ideas for discussion today include:

  • What features do you want to see in AO.
  • Any changes you want to see in the game?
  • Are you hopeful for anything moving on?
  • Do you have any predictions for the future…?

As always keep discussion constructive and have a great day!

one thing im excited for is that we will eventually see the merge of multiple upcoming things for example arcanium strength weapons. i want to see something like transformations as techniques or spells, it would be interesting to see how different you could make those and the options to customise them. im hopeful for the games future because this is the most RPG rpg game on roblox.

this would kick so much ass i heavily agree

somwthing something morock solos :rofl::punch::100:

I want more gods to be introduced through relics. I want most of the pantheon and especially a relic that can heal people.

since there might be a siren alliance questline in the future im hoping there’ll be a Melpomene related relic cause shes cool being the greek muse of tragedy that is also related to the sirens (maybe being the mother of sirens in ao thatd be cool too )

I’d love to see a lot more care given to plasma! It’s one of the most beautiful magics! Totally not biased being a user myself… but in all seriousness it’s going to be amazing seeing the new graphics given to magics and more! Merry Christmas!

I hope that the last minute cuts, game willing, eventually find their way back in. Field seemed like a cool spell, but, based on how it was described, I’m glad it got more time in the oven. As for the weapon thing, it’s unfortunate that such a cool gameplay and character customization change had the whole invisibly issue. Despite these fairly minor issues, I am nearly as hopeful as that one image of Gordon Freeman for AO’s future.

The update

There will be an update tomorrow

A feature that lets you experience different events in the past lets call em “memory waypoints”

Here’s how it would work. You would unlock a unique sensing ability at Level 250, allowing you to see certain events in a certain area. To activate this, you would have to spawn at a memory waypoint, such as: General Zaix’s body, an important object in Stormgale ruins, or the Winterveil flag in Munera. For example, if you want to see a memory event in the Bronze Sea, you would stand in front of Zaix’s corpse and sense for about 10 seconds. Your character will meditate and visualize the event exactly how it happened by interacting with an object or corpse related to the memory event.
The memory waypoint would be identified by a distinct aura, with an animation similar to the awakening questline where, when you meditate, the camera spins around you. After this, the screen warps and goes black then, you find yourself controlling someone (instead of your player character) who was involved in that particular event. If it’s a Blasted Rock memory event, you would control General Zaix, get important lore and interactions, and have Avery Walker as a superboss. This way, players can control curse users and characters from the lore in general. It is also a fun way of getting lost/ancient spells, techniques, and weapons.
It can also be used in the story. Let’s say at a point in the story, Morden or one of our allies is fighting someone we would control Morden and fight with a mostly picked out moveset and awakening or, in this case, a Sea Curse.

Oh yeah definitely

Someone is going to find a bug that lets them continue playing as Morden and they’re going to wipe out the server

The ability to equip multiple of the same weapon and have them merge visually into one weapon getting fixed and added soon because I love the sound of that feature and am pretty disappointed that it was only reverted a day before full release drops despite how long the feature ha existed up to that point

But other than that I’m looking forward most to second awakenings and more stats so I can have a sand imbued greatshield and a fire imbued greataxe, and hopefully once mutations come around we’re able to mutate second magics and I can mutate fire into sun and become lord of the deserts

Reminds me of the hacker that started using dev magics and gravity magic

I predict that a future update to roblox will cause irreparable damage to the game,s omething like uh…. filtering disabled…. yeah that sounds like something roblox would do

We’ll see the small issues become big as I’ve said almost a year ago:

I was hoping that there would at least be optimizations or options for them when full release gets out, but unfortunately it is still quite difficult to enjoy the game with good framerates, despite both me and my friends having bought and are using more powerful, less low-end devices.

Due to the large amount of particle that emits from terrain being destroyed and just from attacks in general (I’m looking at you Destruction Magic..), I am a bit surprised that these issues are yet to be addressed in full release despite being consistent.

Now that full release is out, and progress can go a lot more smoothly, I hope that the game implements more features and adjustments to be more accessible for players in the future!
