When fighting against someone in pvp, do blinding effects get in the way a lot?
Or even when fighting against blinding npcs, is it bad?
I dunno, I think blinds are uh, unintuitive game design imo. Especially since Light magic already has incentive to removes your eyes (+damage per stack), and leaves Shadow, Sand, and Snow hobbling a little.
Are the movement crippling synergies (paralyze, frozen, petrified) bad or good? are they good for damage or just actually crippling mobility?
I personally think Shadow and Light should buff each other’s damage but that’s cuz I wanna be like, using light and shadow.
Like, right now there are some isolated effects (shadow, crystal) which isn’t bad, but then heat magics and cold magics have their own mini categories (heat has more from what I know though).
Should more magics have unique effects (Earth, wood, ash, lightning)? Are they fine as is?
Like, just forget about balance, how should synergies work right now (y’all can balance later)? Is the current implementation good?
On the attacker’s end, even if you set up a full length stun using a synergy with two magics rather than an imbue, it’s still practically unnoticeable and feels like a waste of mental effort, especially in PvE where the enemies barely dodge and it doesn’t do anything to interrupt their constant move spamming.
On the receiving end of it, it feels terrible for about 0.5s before it goes away and the only lasting impact is if it really threw off your flow.
Really annoying system, it’s not interesting, not interactive, and is basically just “If you go against certain preset power combinations, while not having one or having a weaker one yourself, you get statchecked.”
