Because any game that can make most children turn their brains off while simultaneously making them think they’re achieving something by making numbers go up, will bring them in more than a medium-paced game like Arcane Odyssey can.
Like, I have a friend around my age that is HOOKED into Pet Simulator. He leaves it farming when he goes to sleep. I’m in college and about to turn 20.
Especially any game that gives you any sort of advantage through microtransactions. “250 BOBUX FOR X10 SKIBIDI TOILETS MULTIPLIER AND 500 BOBUX FOR X10 ROLLS ON MOGGING SIMULATOR” will just bring them in more than an exploring game like Arcane Odyssey.
Simple, these games appeal (read: are designed to leech) to children. There’s no need to put in effort for mastery, or to put in heavy thought. Both of these are things children are not at all good at. Instead, all it asks for is unreasonable amounts of time, and if there’s one thing children today have, it’s time.
lol so true about sols rng having 0 gameplay but the answer is quite simply: flashy colorful rare stuff attracts children to afk in it all day for a chance to win them
Considering how AO makes references to drug use, racism, genocide, slavery, exploitation, and corruption, it does feel like roblox could make it 17+ out of nowhere
Yeah also, I know in some treasure charts, the person who wrote it says:
“I want to leave this life behind, and start a new”
Which have made me think if some of these people have commited suicide. That does not sound very robloxy
(Or they mean they literally wanna start a new life and just leave everything else behind)
@Ellis2k06 I think OOFUS is refering to potions yeah, the closest I could think of would be is healing potions as they use a special kind of plant to be made. And they heal you but it is still VERY streeched.
