Thoughts on fighting style changes?

Here’s some things I noted

  1. if your target tries to distance with poise damage built up then they’ll get stunned for 3 seconds, and if they don’t distance and try to fight you head on then they’ll get stunned for 3 seconds.

  2. added something called a finisher, which you can use while your target is stunned for 3 seconds which deals 30% of their hp, which is as easy as just clicking on them while they’re stunned. Can’t be blocked or anything. If you have 1800 hp then that’s dealing 540 damage.

  3. and combined with all of this, every single attack that a fs user will apply “stagger” which is equal to parylize, frozen, or petrified and also disables one from using any abilities, to make it easier to button mash as if it’s not easy enough right now.

  4. and to assure that you’re only ever button mashing close range (which is already a really strong playstyle), he added something that pretty much just makes axe slash and shot deal less damage at far range.

So gameplay loop would just be:

  • Attack someone, applies stagger meaning it’ll be hard for them to distance and they won’t be able to attack back
  • keep button mashing and keeping stagger active, they may get a little time between attacks to throw out their own, until the poise break kicks in and they’re stunned for 3 seconds
  • click them during the poise break and deal 30% of their hp.

It’s subject to change but regardless, if it’s not toned down to the point where it’s a negligible feature or just removed, then pvp is just completely cooked.

The reason I don’t care though is that I’m pretty sure most people aren’t going to be in combat servers anyways, so even if it doesn’t get the chance to ruin pvp there’s nobody to pvp with to begin with.

It would be nice if I were wrong about that so the game really has an immersive feel but with how many people just refuse to learn that 1/3rd of the game and with how bad/build carried a lot of people are, I personally am very sure of my conclusion.

Just more of a reason to try and keep distance.

You should at least read patchnotes carefully before complaining about a feature that isn’t even in the TU yet.

no they won’t, poise damage actually only decreases if you distance from the target.

idk where you got that from, all we know about the stagger rn is that it doesn’t affect movement speed and the duration will depend on the damage % dealt by the attack

No shot and axe slash have reduced damage at a distance(even though shot already had that)

got nerfed to 50% lmaooooo pls vetex it should be 10% movement reduction not 50%, and… it only affects t jump and dash, at least synergy full stun is the best stun yet because it affects everything
