Currently my main file is a lightning conjurer, but I’m considering switching my magic to light when that feature gets added. I’ve had to rely on an aggressive playstyle to win fights because of the horrible imbuement damage, and that rising tide has a small aoe forcing me to get right up in someone’s face for the paralysis effect.
I might as well benefit from the blind effect and increased speed with my playstyle, but I’m waiting on the bleed fix before making a decision. AO also revolves around the ocean so I’m kind of reluctant to give up on lightning synergies.
Idk, I’m trying to grind a light conjurer up rn actually. The first pvp I did with it, at level 70 against some lv 89 asshole, I didn’t get much damage off and kept running out of energy really quick. But then again, I haven’t even awakened. I’d still give it a try if I were you though!
Could you give me more specifics on how effective you believe the blinding effect to be? I’m aware that light thermo warlock is a better choice for a consistent blind but I prefer weapons
Light does the least damage out of all the magics in game, so in order to deal sufficient damage you need to wear armor that gives power, and the problem with this is that you are also sacrificing hp
Light is a better choice for weapon imbuement, but lightning is the better magic overall with similar performance (slightly better damage and worse speed, same size) so I’m kinda torn between the two
It’s fun, but weak. I love being able to combo quickly and throw out weapon skills at light speed (plus I look cool doing it), but like others have said you suffer in both the hp and power departments. I’ve been experimenting with my build and I think I’ve finally found a happy medium between a decent amount of power and hp if you’d like me to share it. I can also share some of my old builds for it that might better suit different play styles. If you struggle with losing energy quickly, I recommend enchanting your weapons with swift, as they take less energy to use skills (by a noticeable margin, by the way). All of my weapons are enchanted with strong right now but I’m honestly considering redoing some of them to have the swift enchant.
Sure thing! The first rule of being an effective light conjurer is having a mosquito build, and to do that you need agility. Most people don’t use agility gear so this puts you at an advantage.
If you can land your hits with light (and lightning) being such a small magic, then you can swap out some of the Calvus items for Elius’s, with the hard enchant, of course. Replacing all of Calvus with Elius gives you 60 agility, which is honestly such a blessing for moving around. I had that build for a while, but I found that I had a harder time hitting enemies since the hitbox is so small, so I sacrificed some agility for attack size. 44 agility is still great to have, though, and it really makes a difference compared to none. Calvus’s mantello/cape gives the same amount of stats as his crown, so you can use either accessory.
