Personally, I like stuff like spicy chips, and I’ve been wanting to get into hot sauce for a while. My brother bought me a bottle of Cholula a month or two ago, and I have used it a couple of times. It doesn’t seem all that noticable, though, even if I practically drench the top of what I’m eating with it; I might need to go to the Trinidad Scorpion sauce in the cabinet instead.
I can say I’m not a fan of spicy candy though. My candy needs to be sweet or sour, not painful.
One place you can go to is Tijuana Flats if there’s one in your area/country. It has essentially a hot sauce bar where you can choose hot sauces of varying intensity.
That place was the first time I had a really spicy hot sauce and just one lick had me crying it was wild, although at the time I didn’t have much of a tolerance
If its not spicy to the point it taste bitter and you cant feel your lips and tears are streaming down your face is it really spicy? (from experience; k-noodles are NOT to be messed with)
