I think the cooking exp requirements should be higher, around 100k for perfect?

Nah, cooking isn’t that op enough to have the required xp be increased for the max skill level.

I think it should be much higher. We’re only in the first sea, and we’re supposed to develop our skills the entire game. I hope he makes leveling potions and professions harder.

100k is overkill. cooking leveling pacing is fine given that you dont know to cheese cooking exp

Agreed, I feel like they could add a prestige system to your cooking exp, where you sacrifice alot (say, 500k exp?) to rank it up above perfect; or along the lines of that.

100k is pretty tame, but the pacing is too easy even if you don’t cheese it (I got 1mil from using ingredients in the shops mostly)

I was in the understanding the cheese was sky pumpkins (which are for little cucks imo), but I don’t see how using items that are common, nearly free, and give barely any good exp (around 75 exp per meal) is cheese. Even despite that amount, I got 50k almost every day when I was grinding it out, mostly in under an hour. Cooking exp for 50k isn’t that hard to get.

the price definetly adds up if you are still on the story and upgrading gear, once we have like 3 seas to explore it will take much longer for a new player to start power grinding cooking levels

Good, it will breed stronger chefs and make the cooking scene more competitive with less people. Doubling the cooking exp isnt going to hurt players that terribly, overall if they really want to keep perfect; they can easily grind it back up.

I mean in a straight playthrough through a completed AO I doubt you’d get to Perfect if you don’t invest time into it. Kinda fine where it is and I’m sure the limits of cooking will be pushed when professions are added and Chefs are an option. Our “perfect” food ain’t even what the pros make.

I only spent like 2~ hours on mine? Forgot, wasn’t hard or long though. Just farmed the fuck out of pumpkins. Got 600~ XP per 5-10 or so minutes (likely more but I’m low balling). I don’t need to cook food for a while though :fr:

I mostly cook and donate it to others, sometimes drop 500 or so meals to streamers to surprise them, their reactions are always so funny
