people who have experience in thinking in many ways, as to mimic several players and attempt to find any issues with a set of tools in a limited amount of time.

Given ātime constraintsā i feel that itāl be more important to find issues with using things that the average person might come up across, and not the bug that kills every boss when you pick Glass Savant with a stat distribution of 160m/120w/120v at mount othyrs.
Like if you went ahead and tested how Aithraki works underwater because Ai gets freaky when soaked. or what happens if you drop the minion in a place that one-shots players because the minion somehow got a healthbar and killing it breaks the spirit weapon for some godless reason.

yea. no one expects you to find the weird edge cases but like make sure autoclicking the confirm button doesnt give you like 500 items or break the menu and make sure that the pvp toggle actually works for both types of renown or other things
also generally know that you are expected to provide an image/video, description, and most importantly steps to reproduce when filing a bug report. i cant tell you how many times i wanted to kill someone when trying to kill a bug i dont even know how to see in action

yeah, I feel that having a good sense of how to reproduce is the most important part. Plenty of times where Iāve fixed something yet had 0 clue what was actually happening until after i already fixed it. Every part helps, but know the sequence is probably whats going to end up helping the bug get fixed the fastest.
and quelling your expectations is going to be another good thing, there is a good chance that most bugs are just some simple timing errors causing an issue, or something not responding because its not checking for multiple scenrios.
TBH, itās probably a good move for a tester to always be recording, it just makes their process easier:
something breaks ā go through your recording and try to reproduce your steps. aka, a tester needs to have a good enough computer and storage to keep a good amount of videos.
Youāll still have fun, but I just hope most people expect to be applying to fill in as a tester because they want to actually test features, and not apply to play with them.
^ if you do not find this kind of work fun you are going to have a miserable time. keep medal on at all times and dont publish your clips publically. i had a lot of fun doing this in the past but it not for everybody (especially if you arent ready to play super unbalanced stuff)
I wouldnāt be a tester simply because I like playing through the story all at once, not in tiny chunks
