This is just a topic for entertainment and curiosity about other people’s opinions; anyone who’s a member of this forum already knows it will take a long time before we have these wonders.
One thing I always think about as a mage is when we’ll be able to use rare and lost spells in our lost or, in the future, ancient magic. For example, a gravity annihilation, maybe inferno fire (non-cannon magic for the player, I don’t know). To be honest, if you consider that the player is an electric savant, nothing is canonical.
Think about the possibilities:
Diamond elemental conjurer
Gravity pulsar
Maybe even a cloud surge
-I also remember that we’re going to have a way to turn into a golem, imagine a diamond golem. (I forgot the spell’s name.) By the way, I hope diamond gets a visual revamp to really look like a real-life diamond, with plenty of internal light refraction, even though that effect is artificially human-made.
I also think it takes a lot of creativity to create spells for another 600 levels.
And what about mixing spells? I remember Vetex once mentioning that it would be possible to “mix” spells for a blast or something like that.
In short, what are your thoughts, based on your current and future arsenal? Which spells would you like to combine with which lost-magic?
What possible lost, rare, or even ancient spells have you imagined and would like to see?
As a bonus, how many lost spells do you think there will be at the end of the game? We currently have 9 (according to the wiki).

As a double bonus, how many lost spells do you think there will be during the “lost spell update” in the far reaches future?
Around 5 extra spells will be added in addition to the current ones.
Around 10 extra spells will be added in addition to the current ones.
Around 15 extra spells will be added in addition to the current ones.
Around 20-25 extra spells will be added in addition to the current ones.
Around 25-30 extra spells will be added in addition to the current ones.
I imagine magic elementals from any healing capable magic would be able to be customized to instead follow the player or party members and heal them instead of fighting enemies
oh my mistake
I thought it made the status effect stronger because whenever I fight iris I usually only get a few stacks and often the 0 damage ones before the 1 damage ones
but flare’s status effect lasts for twice as long as burn
also where did you get the information about heat being able to status stack?
I’m not going to lie, a barrage of light is a flashbang.
I’m essentially a support in almost every game that lets me be, so if something like this were possible, I’d be totally in. It’s a big question whether the healing spell will deal damage or, well, heal. Maybe there’s a way to switch between healing and damage. Like how Construct does it, holding the attack triggers another move. I’d find that mechanic amazing, but I think if healing magic is actually added, many mages will use it as a secondary or tertiary spell to abuse the “healing aura.” Which is a bit disappointing, honestly.
I know they’ll be found through scrolls, but at the same time that’s a pretty old idea, since the current Trello board says that to get an ancient shard you’d spend several Hecate Shards from your inventory; maybe you could transmute several of them into a scroll and it would be something like that. Really, it’s too early and too complex. Correct me if I’m wrong. Thanks.
You know, it even gave me an idea for an interesting spell. You know how in war movies or storybooks they talk about a sea of arrows falling from the sky? Imagine a spell like that, where you carry several magic circles behind your character that fire in a random order. ( Not array.
