What’s going on in that pit?
How did a dragon get underground through such a small hole?
Is that dead guy “the Dragon Warrior”?
All this and more in this thread!
Alright so first of all, I found this guy who fought the dragon and had one immediate thought
That’s totally a Durendal right?
Sure enough-
The Runic-Exchange durendal model looks just like that. Not exactly, but it is similar. It’s worth noting that it’s the True Durendal model, which is dissimilar to the Durendal Reforged.
Durendal, if you weren’t aware, was a sword in Arcane Adventures that inflicted an early form of Insanity on the user, in exchange for being very powerful.
Durendal is also a sword from a real legend.
Many people have taken notice to this twisted tree with a sacrifice on it.
Some people say that this could be the work of the wood curse user, but that’s been disproven. This is just a regular tree. The stake is clearly separate, and there is even another one of these trees growing on the other side of the island.
These knight statues can be found on the island, they wear a helmet that I believe is otherwise only found in the dark sea, and wield a sword identical to the Ravenna Greatsword. This gives us no hints as to who lived here.
It definitely was inhabited by somebody. There are multiple wrecked bunk beds around the island.
Why won’t somebody just join in on the thread?!?!
something strange about the skeleton though is that it’s brown as well, meaning it’s made of wood
so either someone somehow turned someone into wood, or this is just a carving
No sir. It’s too dark to be made from the inside of a tree, and too smooth to be the outside.
Furthermore, there’s skeletons at Gloam Ruins that are brown, and skeletons drowned in the Seekers Brand corrosive water that are brown.
i suppose the corrosive water could turn bones brown
There’s no corrosive water at Gloam Ruins, and every single body is that color. Did somebody pull up with a bucket of Sight Seeker Smoothie™ and dunk them all?
It might be caked in dirt/soil
My guess is that this is an idol of sorts, after all, what creature would it belong to if it wasn’t artificial? The first answer that comes to mind would be a siren, but the last time I checked, they didn’t have hands on their wings.
Yes, unless somebody discovers that greek mythology had eight-handed men, it’s definitely a cultish homage.
the fact some people think the skeleton actually belonged to a 8 handed/ winged person is mindboggling
For real, brah.
Let’s ask the real questions. How did that dragon fit into that tiny hole?
yeah bro why would wotan be out in the bronze sea making horror skeletons he’s got better things to do
but I mean a skilled woodworker could also do that
send pic and I will explain
what
piece by piece
I meant of the dragon
but you would be surprised at how big things could fit into small holes
The environment could have changed with enough time or the cavern’s entrance could have collapsed, alternatively, it could have been an oversight. Asking “how did it get there” would be akin to asking how fossils got underground; They didn’t, it’s just that the ground covered them.
More interesting questions to ask would be:
“Was this the dragon’s nest?”, “What did the dragon do?”, “Why can we not loot the dead bodies?”, “Why is the dragon’s blood evaporating?”, “Is there a way to stop the blood’s fumes from harming us?”, “What would happen if we drunk some of the dragon’s blood?”, “How were all of these secrets secrets? Are people stupid in this alternate Earth?”, “How hard is a dragon’s bone? Can we make things out of it?”, “What happened for this island’s civilisation to be ruined?”, “Who blocked off the way to the dragon’s grave?”, and “Who let the dogs out?”
