Monster hunter world is so peak I was devastated when I was refused monster hunter wilds because my GTX card is a 1650 instead of a 1660
Sekajiu: A world of Creatures, I like grinding shines for giggles.
Project Wingman
Gameplay is relatively basic, as it doesn’t much stand out from other games in the genre. It was based on Ace Combat Zero, so that makes a lot of sense.
For most ground targets : get a lock, fire your missiles. If you’re running bombs, get as many things in the target radius as you can and drop them. UBGLs work best. Usually, these don’t shoot back much. For air targets, either get on their tail and fire missiles or try and get a good gun run. I prefer the latter, as even if you don’t kill, that’s some damage.
The main defining feature of gameplay is the bosses. Yes, bosses. 3 of em total. Even by Ace Combat standards, these are no fucking joke (especially on your first run). Boss #1 is a prototype test platform around half way through the game, equipped with oodles of guns, an AOA limiter (PSMs but cooler), and a burst railgun. Your allies cannot help you here. They will not land a hit.
Boss #2 is from the DLC (Frontline: 59, will be covered later), consisting of a mega-boosted airship named the Roosevelt. Bring bombs, as you can direct-impact for wide damage. This fight is long, possibly infuriating, and much better than the Arsenal Bird (ac7).
The final boss shan’t be spoiled. All I must say is that you will not expect it, yet he will be expecting you.
The true best parts of Project Wingman are its story and the music. Even if you don’t play the game, listen to the soundtrack. Kings, Showdown, Black Eagles, Descendants, Fullmetal Frontline, Fire and Dust, Consequence of Power, Redline, Midnight Light, Wolf in the Dark, Operation Blackout, and Valkyrie’s Call are but a few of the wonderful tracks in game. They’re all linked if you click, please give at least one a listen. Every one of them fits their mission nearly perfectly and they hold the game together. Playing the game without the music is like playing Call of Duty without the guns. From a triumphant upbeat song for when you’re beating half the airforce of a global superpower, to a song that perfectly reflects the pain one would feel when bringing an Su-25 to a “ground attack mission” only to see “ENGAGEMENT NOT ADVISED” when the UN peacekeepers come flying in.
It is some of the most wonderfully crafted music I’ve ever heard, all thanks to the work of Jose Pavli.
While initially, I thought of not including the story given possible spoilers, I think it is worthy of inclusion in some form. In Project Wingman, you play as “Monarch”, a pilot for the mercenary company “Sicario”. The world was devastated by geothermal calamity 430 years prior, leading to massive geological changes and the emergence of a new material - Cordium. Cordium is a highly reactive energy source with output similar to uranium, just without any radiation. Across the pacific side of the world, one power reigns supreme - the Pacific Federation, with territory from Oceania to Cascadia.
Well, they used to. Cascadia declared its independence and contracted mercenaries to fight for it, including Sicario. Over the course of the game, Cascadia takes loss after loss before finally pushing back the Federation forces. Around halfway through the game, a strategic misstep of never before seen scale occurs. Both sides snowball their entire airforces into a singular, gargantuan dogfight over the Bering Straight, all in an attempt to protect (or shoot down) a singular air transport operaiton.
The deciding factor in this battle is Monarch - single handedly shooting down dozens of Federation aircraft and nearly half of a Federation Peacekeeping Squadron (Aces). This defeat leaves the Federation vulnerable, prompting a strike from General Faust into Magadan - the first time anyone had ever hit the Federation’s core. The Cascadians continue to retake territory until the city of Prospero, which was set as a trap to kill Monarch specifically. Dozens of cruise missiles - all tipped with cordium - were launched into the city, reacting with the Cordium in the air alongside the dormant volcano. Instead of a localized effect, the entire ring of fire is “ignited”, prompting geothermal events across the world. This event was known as the Second Calamity, yet neither side was wiped out. Conflict continued until after a successful battle, the Federation signed a ceasefire. However, This was not the end for one particular gaslighting Ace.
Frontline 59 is the DLC to Project Wingman, taking place concurrent to missions 11 through 15. After the showdown over the Bering Straight, survivors flee back to Magadan. Reservist Division K-9 is called up to escort them, facing resistance from pursuing mercenary units. Only twelve of the hundreds of Federation craft present made it home. Over the next six misisons, K-9 fights off the Cascadian incursion into Magadan, watching as their homes go up in flames. This culminates in a final battle against General Faust who had defected to destroy an important power station within Magadan. This takes place concurrent to the Second Calamity, with the cruise missiles being visible overhead.
The final thing I would like to comment on is the voice acting. While certainly not the best voice acting ever, it gives much more life to the characters than I could ever hope for. One voice actor - one of the best - was taken from the discord during development after a short chat with a dev. There is no single badly voiced line, with everyone from your squadron, your AWACs, the troops on the ground, and hostile pilots all sounding great.
TL;DR: Project Wingman good, story good, music great, Pax Federation.
Helldivers 2 is peak imo(aside from the fact that lag spikes are a fact of life for me when playing)
“Side” Question Of The Day…
Would You Like To Be Your Present Profile Picture Or Someone Else?
(this includes characters inside the game, fan-made, or an entire user)
It would be so sick to be Teostra (aside from the fact of Nergigantes existence and hunters wanting my skin)
I haven’t watch Gurren Lagann in a while but I’m pretty sure lordgenome becomes this
So no I don’t want to be him
No.
Side note: what potion are they brewing?
I’m gonna assume this question refers to becoming the person/character in real life.
For a groundwork, I will be working with the following limitations to smooth things out for my decision making. If a character is massive or tiny, you are given the option to be rescaled to a similar size as your current self (with a few inches margin of error). While any superhuman abilities possessed by the character will remain, they cannot break the laws of physics in extremely noticeable ways - if they do, their functionality will be reduced to where they do. E.g: an ability that creates metal from nothing will instead draw matter in from the surrounding terrain and convert it into energy, which is then converted into said metal. Lastly, people will not recognize you.
With that out of the way, YES. For those who don’t know, my pfp is that of “Infinite” from Sonic Forces.
He’s a power-hungry (super edgy) anthropomorphic jackal with a massive inferiority complex. He also just so happens to be able to manipulate reality (As much as it’s stated to be illusions, the Phantom Ruby can manipulate reality in Mania and they don’t act at all like illusions, so it’s just reality manipulation). There’s so much I could do with that - No longer would war occur, famine would be a thing of the past. Even discounting his powers, I get a sick as hell mask. That’s enough for me to accept with no hesitation.
grave/digger (its so peak,)
Terraria.
If it had to be on Roblox, then yeah AO is by far the best game we’ve got.
