Threads like RFAO/Discussion Threads are often splits, and if you were Watching the original thread the new thread gets the Watching tag too. This should be instead turned into a setting, defaulted at true.
i dont think this is a settting i can adjust
if you are watching one of those topics, you should be able to see when it gets split anyways since youll be watching it 
Yes but it’s annoying to have multiple different notifications for the new topics until I turn it off
