I’m glad flight spells were removed tbh. Sounds annoying to have players fly onto your boat then melee you to death, defeats the purpose of pvp ship combat. It should at least take some effort to board a moving ship, not just press a single button and bam ur now onboard any ship in a 1000m radius.

So BASICALLY, vetex is scrapping the whole game and remarking it as Arcane Odyssey…
I honestly think that WoM’s idea was ok for what it is but vetex didn’t know how to make that idea shine. I thought that leaving AA’s story untouched as a nostalgic game was good enough and that WoM will only have a hint of it as a “sequel” was fine. And no, NPCs in AA were just statues compare to WoM’s NPCs. They walk around and stuff and have a bit of personality, while in AA it feels uncanny/ alone. AA’s atmosphere felt really isolated and alone and constant shark attacks made traveling a bit difficult thought it could be just that period of the game where scripts started rusting until the game became unfixable. WoM had potential but bad design ruined it and I’m really sad to see it go just like AA. Guess history repeats itself. Though it’s not vetex’s fault, developing such a game on Roblox is limited because that’s simply how Roblox/ R Studio works.
PS. I believe he learned a valid game design lesson: if the game looks like it can cause millions of issues in the future, don’t risk it and start over before its too late.
