my current theory:
Maybe u can inherit or borrow the gods power : Golden ichor, since golden ichor is blood of the gods and its toxic it will have negative side effects relating to: ‘those who sow the wind shall reap the whirlwind’. the furnace part: maybe the furnace is your soul or heart that you must keep burning but when you borrow the gods power it shortens your lifespan (the sword of time part).
