I am new. I just made my first save with Light magic, it’s fine but when I try to equip a piece of clothing I find, it doesn’t work. I know of vanity, and I tried equipping the shirt, pants, necklace, hat I acquired but all it does is do an animation and say it is equipped but I don’t see any of them. I’m still wearing the washed up starter island clothes.

Anyways, you have to complete the first few quests before your washed up clothes are replaced by the ones you chose in the character creation screen, once that happens your equipment will show up.

In vanity slot of items there are “eyes icons” if they grey - vanity slot is ignored and instead, the normal equipment slot is showing.
If white - vanity slot is showed
